Langley Castle An Outstanding Small Hotel Handicap Chase

Expensive point recruit who went the wrong way for Paul Nicholls after winning a maiden hurdle at Wincanton in March 2019. Finished runner-up twice in this sphere last spring and step back in right direction when fifth at Carlisle 38 days ago. One to consider from handy mark.

Yet to score but he's knocking on the door, running creditably when third at Wetherby 10 days ago. Not the most straightforward but can't be ruled out.

Much improved for his current yard, scoring twice before posting a solid fourth of 10 in handicap chase back at Sedgefield 46 days ago. Form has been franked so he can go well again.

Made a winning chase debut over 17f in April and solid enough efforts in defeat this campaign, again finding only one too good at Catterick (25.2f) in December. In process of running well when taking a tired fall at Sedgefield last month and not out of things from this mark back down in trip.

C&D winner (took this in 2021) who was second a couple of times before a sub-par run at Sedgefield 46 days ago. Might well bounce back.
