Free-goer but it didn't stop him making a successful hurdle debut at Kempton (2m, good) in October. Not in the same form when second at Huntingdon a fortnight later, once again proving headstrong. Needs to settle down to fulfil potential.
Didn't get beyond the first at Warwick in November so he was effectively making his debut when scoring in a small field at Exeter 19 days later, staying on well despite showing greenness. Should be more to come.
Fairly useful maiden on Flat (stays 1½m) in Ireland. Sold out of Stephen O'Donoghue's stable for 60,000 in October. Has had wind surgery ahead of hurdle debut for in-form new stable. Interesting contender.
Fairly useful Flat performer for Richard Hannon, off the mark in 1¼m Windsor handicap when last seen in August. Ran to only a modest level when just under 13 lengths third on his Musselburgh hurdle debut last month but he should be capable of better.
Fairly useful Flat winner for Joseph O'Brien in Ireland. Well beaten in 2 Flat outings for current yard but still needs keeping an eye on in the market now switching to hurdles.
Fair winner over 11f from 3 starts on Flat in Germany. Sold from Marcel Weiss €19,000 in October. Betting should help guide to expectations now hurdling for new connections.
Fairly useful on Flat (stays 11f) and made a promising start to his hurdle career when 2 lengths second of 6 at Newcastle (2m, good) in November. Likely improver. Leading claims.
Fairly useful maiden on Flat (stays 1¼m) for Brian Meehan but he was well behind the reopposing Ring of Beara when last of 6 on his Newcastle hurdle debut 6 weeks ago. Has a first-time hood added to the tongue he wore at Newcastle.

Forecasts
Admiralty House (2/1), Active Duty (10/3), Ring Of Beara (10/3), Romancero Le Dun (4/1), Gaius (10/1), Good Lord (22/1), Swift Tuttle (50/1), Ghasham (66/1)
RING OF BEARA made an encouraging start to his hurdle career when runner-up at Newcastle and is taken to make the most of the 7 lb he receives from Exeter winner Romancero Le Dun. The Ben Pauling team continues in fine form so his hurdle newcomer Active Duty, who was decent on the Flat in Ireland, would also enter the reckoning if the betting speaks in his favour.
