Back on track when fifth of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (10.2f, 66/1) 24 days ago. Will appreciate this step back up in trip and shouldn't be ruled out.
Won at Newcastle in October and over 14f here in November. Ran at least as well in defeat when second of 7 in handicap at this course (14f) 6 days ago, clear of rest. Expected to be bang there from unchanged mark.
Respectable fourth of 12 in handicap at this course (9.5f) 7 days ago. Back up in trip. Visor back on. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.
Course winner. Latest win at Hamilton in June. 40/1, looked rusty when twelfth of 13 in handicap at Southwell (12.1f) 19 days ago. Blinkers back on. Frame claims if sharper this time around.
Lightly-raced maiden on Flat. 33/1, never involved when tenth of 13 in handicap at this course (14f) 7 days ago. Others have achieved more.
Creditable fifth of 13 in handicap at this course (14f, 12/1) 7 days ago, getting going late having not been ideally placed. Needs a couple of these to falter.
Remains a maiden after 18 Flat runs. 100/1, ninth of 11 in handicap at this C&D 6 days ago. Opposable again.
Lightly-raced maiden. 28/1, eighth of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (14f) 39 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Yet to show any ability and can't be fancied.

Forecasts
Victory March (8/11), Haku (6/4), Bakersboy (5/2), Soaring Star (13/2), Blue Hero (12/1), Ghostly (20/1), Tanglewood Tales (40/1), Sheharz (50/1), Half Nelson (50/1)
HAKU and Victory March both appeal as horses to keep onside in the short term, but preference here is narrowly for Mark Loughnane's gelding, who actually goes from a lower mark than for last week's Kempton win with a 7 lb claimer taking over in the saddle. Victory March hasn't been out of the first 2 since joining Seb Spencer's yard from Ireland, with Soaring Star capable of completing the placings.
