Farouk De Cheneau²⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson| OR: 118

5/2

Proved he retains plenty of his ability since returning from a long absence this summer, and decent enough start over fences when runner-up at Bangor and Southwell. Has to be taken seriously.

The Macon Lugnatic¹⁷⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-11| J: Luca Morgan⁽³⁾| T: B Pauling| OR: 115| BF

11/2

Laboured over fences last term and found the switch back to hurdling in his favour last 3 starts, so bit to prove returned to this sphere now.

Form: F4325-3

Manothepeople²²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR: 114

5/2

Showed signs of ability in a couple of maiden hurdles last season prior to landing handicaps at Huntingdon and Doncaster (both at around 3m). Stamina is clearly his strong suit, and this former point winner appeals as the type to do better still now switched to fences.

Form: 1/54311-

Earth Business^p¹⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-8| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard| OR: 112

11/2

In first-time cheekpieces, confirmed previous promise when off the mark in handicap at Exeter (18.5f) in February. Ran well in novices next 2 starts since and should be better for recent reappearance. Bred to make a chaser.

Form: 3P123-5

Aeronisi²¹⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR: 103| D

9/2

Modest over hurdles for Tim Vaughan but much improved when making a winning chase bow at Fontwell for this yard in March, beating a subsequent winner. Open to further improvement.

Form: 54/531-

Mr Washington^p,t²²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 10-12| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: David Dennis| OR: 102| C| D

22/1

Prolific in 2020/21 and returned in fine form last campaign with a win at Chepstow and a close second at Uttoxeter. Well held since, however, and failed to convince when tried in this sphere previously. Has since rejoined this yard from Tom Symonds.

Form: 4/12465-

Forecasts

Manothepeople (5/2), Farouk De Cheneau (5/2), Aeronisi (9/2), The Macon Lugnatic (11/2), Earth Business (11/2), Mr Washington (22/1)

AERONISI left his modest for over hurdles for Tim Vaughan well behind when making a winning chase bow at Fontwell in March and is taken to defy a 7 lb rise with further improvement likely. Point-winner and progressive hurdler Manothepeople looks the obvious threat.
