Modest gelding. 40/1, last of 11 in handicap at Hamilton (8.3f, good) 15 days ago. Would be a threat if able to bounce back with a first-time visor enlisted.
20/1 and blinkered for 1st time, last of 11 in handicap at Chelmsford City (7f), missing break. Off 150 days ahead of this first run for new yard/turf debut. First-time tongue strap enlisted and very much the one to beat on these terms
2,000 gns foal, Garswood gelding. Brother to useful winner up to 7.6f Gabrial The Wire and half-brother to 1½m winner Homing Star. Probably best watched on belated debut.
Lightly-raced maiden. Blinkered for 1st time, seventh of 11 in handicap (33/1) at Nottingham (8.3f, heavy) 6 days ago. Worth a second look back down in trip at this lowly level.
Fair filly. Winner at Ffos Las in August. 4/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at Ayr (7.2f, heavy) 5 days ago. Likely to be in the thick of things, for all that she has a bit to find with a few of these at the weights.
Poor filly. Remains a maiden after 20 Flat runs. Eighth of 11 in handicap (33/1) at Brighton (7f, good) 29 days ago. Looks set for another struggle.
Poor filly. Remains a maiden after 19 Flat runs. 40/1, creditable third of 14 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, soft) 29 days ago. Stiff task on these terms.
Twice-raced maiden. 300/1, tenth of 13 in maiden at Kempton (11f) 6 days ago. Significantly down in trip and she will need to improve in order to make an impact here.

Forecasts
Emerald Lady (11/8), Solar Prophet (11/4), To The Bar (9/2), Gordonstoun (8/1), Apache Jewel (16/1), Moon Knight (25/1), Desert Cat (28/1), Vertical (40/1)
On the face of it, EMERALD LADY has a mountain to climb, meeting To The Bar on significantly worse terms than she would if this were a handicap. However, while this represents a sizeable drop in class for To The Bar, he was well held on his last 2 starts during the spring and both his wellbeing and ability to act on turf have to be taken on trust starting out for new connections here. If he falters, Emerald Lady looks the most likely to capitalise. Solar Prophet is best of the rest.
