7/2

Improved since handicapping, winning 3 times from 4 starts last season at trips ranging from 17.7f to 22f. Off the track for a year but in top hands and his mark is a lenient one if all is well.

Jaunty Soria^p³⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 11-10| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 106| CD

11/2

Ended last year in good form and picked up where she left off after a 5-month absence when scoring over C&D in May. Backed that up when runner-up returned to this venue from 6 lb higher in August.

Form: 1P22-12

Lily's Gem¹²⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 11-9| J: Benjamin Poste| T: R Potter| OR: 105

100/1

Has largely struggled in Ireland this year and needed to see more on June's stable debut at his venue (23f) to seriously consider her. Headgear left off.

Form: 588P-54

Rare Clouds⁴⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-8| J: D A Jacob| T: Simon Earle| OR: 104| D

7/1

Broke maiden at fourteenth attempt at Southwell in May. Ran at least as well in defeat there next time but slipped up over C&D in July and ran one of his lesser races in August.

Form: 45-13S4

Love Actually¹⁹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: Kieran Burke| OR: 101

9/2

Winning pointer who left previous hurdling form behind when scoring with something to spare on handicap debut at Taunton in January. Shaped like a stayer when last seen in March and returns with yard among the winners.

Form: U56153-

Russian Service²⁸⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 11-4| J: Danny Burton⁽⁵⁾| T: S Drinkwater| OR: 100

28/1

Had been knocking on the door prior to regaining the winning thread at Market Rasen in December. Off the track since so fitness has to be taken on trust.

Form: 5/25431-

Debden Bank^p,t²⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: James Best| T: M Keighley| OR: 98| C| D

4/1

Four-time chase winner and though yet to strike over hurdles, he performed with credit when fourth of 10 back in this sphere here (23f) recently.

Form: 1-P3844

Montaqem^t³⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-11| J: Conor Ring⁽³⁾| T: D Bourne| OR: 93

66/1

Modest maiden on Flat and needs to step up on what we have seen so far over hurdles. Up in trip.

Form: 633P5

Seaborough⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: Aaron Anderson⁽⁵⁾| T: D Shaw| OR: 93| D

9/2

Was knocking on the door prior to deservedly snapping a losing run at Uttoxeter (2½m, good) last month. Never really looked like following up at Southwell

Form: 633316

Sinister Minister^t²³²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-6| J: Sean Houlihan| T: Sheila Lewis| OR: 88

22/1

Modest in bumpers and having left Nigel Twiston-Davies after a couple of hurdle runs, he ran no sort of race in a trio of handicaps for this yard.

Form: 4200P7-

Forecasts

Chives (7/2), Debden Bank (4/1), Seaborough (9/2), Love Actually (9/2), Jaunty Soria (11/2), Rare Clouds (7/1), Sinister Minister (22/1), Russian Service (28/1), Montaqem (66/1), Lily's Gem (100/1)

CHIVES has a year-long absence to overcome but he could hardly be in better hands and, assuming all is well with him, his mark is a lenient one. Jaunty Soria is a solid alternative, with Love Actually also worth a second look back from time off the track.
