STAR PLAYER has improved with each of his 5 starts, just losing out to a decent type in a match at Yarmouth recently, and he is likely to prove a tough nut to crack here. Novaportian shapes as though this trip will be within his range and he makes strong each-way appeal with Harry Davies aboard. Best of the rest could be Grand Central, who was well held on his nursery debut at Doncaster but is worth another chance given the promise he showed on his penultimate start.
