Progressive sort who was unlucky not to finish closer on his first try at this trip when third of 10 in handicap at Southwell (11.1f) 16 days ago, nearest finish. Has to be taken seriously off the same mark.
Made an impressive start for new yard after 7 months off when landing 11.4f Windsor handicap in June. Not disgraced in a bigger field here a month later but disappointed after 8 weeks off at Newmarket last time. Bit to prove at present.
Is now 3 lb lower than when winning at Ripon in April but needs to step up on his recent efforts.
Lightly-raced sort who opened his account in 15-runner handicap at Galway in June. Followed that with a below-par effort at Sandown next time but he remains with potential back up in trip.
Completed a hat-trick in first half of 2021 and proved at least as good as ever after 8 weeks off when runner-up at Kempton in August. Not in same form at Newcastle last time but was ridden closer to the pace than usual. Worth another chance.
Doubled his tally for the season in 12f Doncaster handicap in July. Not disgraced in a deeper race back there next time and ran about as well as could be expected in a Group 3 at Goodwood latest.
Big mare who ran below form on her final 2 starts for David Elsworth last season (lame on first one). However, has joined a capable yard and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of her now returning from 12 months off fitted with a first-time hood.
Has yet to build on his encouraging return at Nottingham in May but ran respectably back down in trip when third of 9 in 12f handicap (15/2) at Ffos Las (good) 29 days ago, albeit having every chance.
First run since leaving Hugo Palmer when bagging 11-runner handicap at Chester in July but failed to beat a rival at Carlisle next time. Bounce back needed.
Opened his account in likeable style at Redcar (10f) in July and has held his form well subsequently. Likely to give another good account.
Upped his game when making a successful return/handicap bow in 4-runner contest at Yarmouth (1m) in May but well beaten both starts since, including in a first-time hood last time. Significantly up in trip.
Course winner here (10.4f) in August but couldn't translate that improvement in a better race at York (10.2f, good) 20 days ago. Up in trip.

Forecasts
Vanity Affair (4/1), Prydwen (5/1), Forgivable (6/1), Animato (7/1), Aqwaam (15/2), End Result (17/2), Liverpool Knight (11/1), State Of Bliss (12/1), Samuel Spade (12/1), Amalfi Bay (12/1), The Nu Form Way (28/1), Forward Flight (66/1)
PRYDWEN has a progressive profile and was unlucky not to finish closer on his first crack at this trip at Southwell 16 days ago, so he's an appealing candidate. Vanity Affair had looked as good as ever prior to below-par run at Newcastle recently, so is worth another chance with waiting tactics likely to be back in use. Forgivable is proving consistent and completes the shortlist.
