Failed to come up to expectations for Nicky Richards and starts out for his new stable with something to prove.

Showed ability when keeping-on fifth in 12-runner Hexham bumper but failed to back it up at Worcester 80 days ago. Looks one for further down the line.

Jet Away gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/top-class chaser (stayed 29f) Monkerhostin and useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 29f) Eric's Charm. One to take seriously on debut.

Shirocco gelding. Dam (h67), ran once over hurdles, closely related to bumper winner/useful hurdler (stayed 3m) Gusty Rocky. Worth a market check.

Mawatheeq gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdler Normandy Invasion and fair hurdler Live Your Life. Dam ran twice on Flat.

Didn't cost much and is bred to be a stayer, but has shown something to work on when hitting the frame on both starts to date. Can't be discounted.

Made an excellent start when second of 14 in bumper at Kilbeggan on NH debut and perhaps found the race coming too soon at Killarney next time. Has had more of a break now and remains with potential.

Forecasts

Fuji Rocks (10/11), Wisteria Bloom (4/1), Jem In Em (13/2), Shir I Dont Know (13/2), Bix Beiderbecke (16/1), Tommy's Fortune (16/1), Bray Dale (22/1), Dapper Gent (50/1), Solway Staree (125/1)

Verdict

WISTERIA BLOOM showed plenty at Kilbeggan on debut and is worth excusing a tame effort next time. He's worth a chance to make a winning British debut despite the presence of Fuji Rocks, who makes plenty of appeal on paper first time out. Ex-pointer Jem In Em is also worthy of consideration.
