The drop back to this trip looks a good move for PIPS TUNE, who was collared close home over 1¼m at Chelmsford last time and, while he has done most of his racing on the all-weather, the 4-y-o was runner-up at Doncaster on his sole previous run on turf in March. He gets the nod ahead of Mountain Ash, who went close off a similar mark at Chepstow three starts back. Red Evelyn also has claims, along with Daany, and handicap-debutante Fawn At Play needs a second look, too.
