Looked better than ever on AW last winter, landing 2 of his last 3 starts in good style, latterly at Kempton (7f) in December, well on top finish. Absent since but likely there's more to come on that evidence.

Dual winner last year but little to shout about so far this term, down the field over C&D in March and fading out of things back on turf at Pontefract (1m) 4 weeks ago. Mark has fallen plenty at least.
Twenty two runs since last win in 2019. Below form fourth of 11 in handicap (6/1) at York (7f, good to firm) 31 days ago, weakening final 1f. Another who has come down plenty in weights and drop in grade a plus, but losing run is a concern.
Losing run is mounting up but he again ran creditably when third of 8 in handicap at Leicester (7f, good to firm, 4/1) 15 days ago, no extra final 50 yds. Each of his last 3 victories have come on AW and no surprise to see him go well again under Tom Marquand.
Blinkered for 1st time, career best when winning 8-runner handicap at Ayr (7.2f, good to firm, 10/3) 35 days ago, doing well to overcome pace bias. Can go well again from 3 lb higher mark in present groove.
Unreliable type. Won 2-runner claimer (4/11) at Redcar (10f, good to firm) 36 days ago. First run for yard after leaving George Scott. Tongue strap back on.
Failed to make an impact over hurdles over the year and well held last of 10 in handicap returned to the Flat on the back of 8 months off at Lingfield (7f) 13 days ago.
Respectable sixth of 10 in handicap (20/1) at Chelmsford (1m) 13 days ago, needing stronger gallop and never landing a blow. Now 2 lb below last winning mark.
One win from 29 Flat runs. 11/1, eighth of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (8f) 60 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Another needing to bounce back.
Twenty eight runs since last win in 2020. 11/1, creditable second of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 9 days ago. Needs to build on that now.
Winner at Beverley (10f) in June. Second of 4 in handicap at Ayr (1m, good) 16 days ago, keeping on gradually. Another good showing not ruled out.
4-time course winner. 5 wins from 15 runs this year. Latest win at Doncaster in July. Creditable third of 13 in handicap back at that venue (7f, good to firm, 3/1) 23 days ago. Enters calculations with promising apprentice taking off valuable 3 lb.
Tenth of 11 in handicap (11/2) at Beverley (8.4f, good to firm) 69 days ago, weakening 2f out. Had previously proved largely consistent on turf/AW and a break may have perked her up.
Enjoyed a productive first half of 2022, registering back-to-back 7f victories at this course in March and off the mark for present yard at Yarmouth (1m) in May. Recent exploits not so inspiring, however.

Back From Dubai (4/1), Thrave (5/1), Ebury (6/1), Ring Of Gold (15/2), Stand Free (17/2), Biplane (9/1), Simulation Theory (10/1), Harbour Vision (12/1), Last Mission (16/1), Defence Treaty (20/1), Arlo's Sunshine (28/1), Iron Sheriff (28/1), Distinction (40/1), Dragon's Fire (100/1)
A big-field affair but RING OF GOLD impressed when landing 2 of his last 3 starts on all-weather during the winter, readily seeing off a dual subsequent scorer at Kempton in December. A 5 lb higher mark should pose no fears on the back of a break and he gets the nod. Back From Dubai, Thrave and Biplane head up the dangers.
