Age: 3| Weight: 9-10| J: David Probert| T: Eve Johnson Houghton| OR: 81

9/2

Debut win at Epsom in September and some fair runs in 7f/1m handicaps this year, although left the impression he might not be too straightforward at Newmarket 7 weeks ago. Given a break and has hood fitted now.

Delorean⁴³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: P J Dobbs| T: R M Beckett| OR: 78

9/2

Another good placed effort when third in 7f Newcastle novice 7 weeks ago, likely to have finished a length or so closer but for being squeezed out by the first 2 late on. Makes handicap debut after a break and 1m should suit.

Form: 2-33

(1)

My Mate Ted⁸⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Jim Crowley| T: R A Teal| OR: 78

11/2

Raced solely at Newbury thus far, touched off over 1m in the mud on debut last autumn. Goes handicapping after 12 weeks off and needs to improve.

Form: 2-56

(3)

Let's Fly Again³¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: A Kirby| T: C G Cox| OR: 77| D

15/2

Free-goer but improved to open account in 1m Bath handicap last month, keeping on well from two subsequent winners. Up 4 lb in deeper contest but could kick on now he's got his head in front.

Form: 94-2461

(6)

Piffle²²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Saffie Osborne⁽³⁾| T: E Walker| OR: 76

33/1

Dual winner over 6f/7f last year. Little impact in handicaps this year nearly 3 months apart but her mark has fallen again. First go at 1m.

Form: 1100-74

(9)

Forward Flight^h1³⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Tom Marquand| T: A King| OR: 76| D

16/1

Upped his game when making a successful return/handicap bow in 4-runner contest at Yarmouth (1m) in May but well beaten upped 2f in trip at Sandown next time, again racing freely. Hood goes on.

Form: 535-18

(8)

Yellow Bear^t¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Harrison Shaw| T: D Carroll| OR: 74| D

12/1

Off the mark in 1m Thirsk novice on return and better effort in handicaps since at Newcastle last time. Might need a bit more respite from the handicapper.

Form: 245-105

(2)

Nine Dragons^t³⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: S De Sousa| T: Tom Dascombe| OR: 73

11/4

Took another step forward when front-running second in 5-runner 1m Bath maiden 5 weeks ago. Could progress further now handicapping.

Form: 082

(5)

Alvediston³⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: R Ffrench| T: Jane Chapple-Hyam| OR: 64

18/1

Fair maiden, allowed his head in front when running well in third in 1m Newmarket handicap in June. Shaped as if amiss at Doncaster next time, though.

Form: 374038

(10)

Brunello Breeze⁴⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-6| J: G Lee| T: T P Tate| OR: 63

22/1

Fair maiden, ran well over 7f here on return but never a threat over C&D 7 weeks ago. More needed.

Form: 679-35

Forecasts

Nine Dragons (11/4), Delorean (9/2), Nuvolari (9/2), My Mate Ted (11/2), Let's Fly Again (15/2), Yellow Bear (12/1), Forward Flight (16/1), Alvediston (18/1), Brunello Breeze (22/1), Piffle (33/1)

There should be more to come from DELOREAN now handicapping up in trip and he's taken to get off the mark. Let's Fly Again looks the pick of the previous winners with the form of his Bath success working out. Nine Dragons is lightly raced and another to note.
