Kickstarted 2022 with back-to-back wins at Newcastle and not disgraced when 2 lengths sixth in 20-runner Ascot handicap (5f) 2 starts back. Rare poor effort at York followed but couple of others make greater appeal overall.
Promising type. Hooded for 1st time/gelded, career best when winning 12-runner handicap at Southwell (5f) in January, staying on to lead final 1f and storming clear. Absent again since but has to be of interest given his positive profile.
Winless since early-2021 but he arrives here on the back of a respectable third of 8 in handicap at Chelmsford (6f) 4 weeks ago, headed final 100 yds. Mark has eased a little more and he's in with an each-way shout again.
3-time winner last year. Unsuited by drying ground when last of 14 in handicap (20/1) at Epsom (6f, good) during early June. Mark is easing however, and this switch of headgear may put an extra edge on him.
In-and-out form since landing Lingfield hat-trick in January. However, arrives here having ran up to best when second of 11 in handicap at Chelmsford (6f) 9 days ago, keeping on.
Five wins from 16 Flat runs. 22/1, twentieth of 21 in handicap at York (6f, good) in May, always behind. Given a break since and a return to this venue may have positive effect (2-3 over C&D). Visor on first time.
C&D winner. 3 wins from 5 runs this year. Latest win at Wolverhampton in May. Bit below form ninth of 15 in handicap at York (6f, good to firm, 11/2) 10 days ago. Expected to be in the mix back on AW.
5/2 and blinkered for 1st time, sixth of 8 in handicap at Chester (5.5f, good to soft) in August, first-time blinkers failing to have positive effect. Changed hands for 37,000 gns in the autumn and market likely to prove best guide here.
Multiple AW winner for this yard but operating below best last few starts, seventh of 8 in handicap at Chelmsford (6f) 30 days ago. Assessor is relinquishing his grip at least for when things do click.
C&D winner. Good third of 7 in handicap (16/1) at Chester (6.1f, good) 24 days ago despite not helping herself with a tardy start. No forlorn hope back on AW.
4-time C&D winner. 4/1, career best when winning 5-runner handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW) 57 days ago, well on top finish. This looks tougher again but his progression may not have stopped.

Forecasts
Nationwide (15/8), Prop Forward (5/2), Scot's Grace (9/2), Ayr Harbour (9/1), Tyger Bay (10/1), Strong Power (20/1), Mohareb (22/1), Punchbowl Flyer (33/1), Capote's Dream (33/1), Barbill (33/1), Venturous (40/1)
Low-mileage 4-y-o PROP FORWARD got back on the up in no uncertain terms when successful at Southwell in January and, with his profile essentially a positive one, he can defy another absence and come out on top again. Nationwide, back on all weather, Scot's Grace and Tyger Bay are others fancied to feature.
