Likeable dual-purpose performer who has won over 1½m at Pontefract and York last summer. Useful form over hurdles since and interesting back in this sphere.
Has run well in defeat here a few times and creditable second of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 99 days ago. However, losing run is mounting up and others preferred for the win.
Successful three times in 2021, including off a 1 lb lower mark over this C&D in September. Mostly running well in defeat this season, ¾-length third of 8 to Precision Storm in handicap at this C&D (good, 9/2) 15 days ago. Should go well again.
Going through a good spell at the moment, winning another battle over C&D 2 weeks ago. Must be respected.
Confirmed positive impression from previous 2 starts when winning novice at Wolverhampton by a wide margin. Going the right way now so respected back in a handicap.
Progressive at 2 yrs, off the mark at the fourth attempt on nursery bow at Lingfield in October. Down the field both starts this term but mark has eased another 3 lb. Up in trip.
Latest win at Doncaster in March. Not disgraced when fourth of 5 in handicap at Ripon (12f, good) 66 days ago. Respected.
Hasn't always looked straightforward but consistency hard to knock of late, hitting the frame again when good third of 8 in handicap at this course (12.3f, good to firm) 36 days ago, running on. Can give another good account.
Lightly-raced winner. First run since leaving Andrew Balding (having been gelded and off nearly 3 years) when winning 9-runner handicap at Pontefract (10f, good, 12/1) 55 days ago. Remains with handicapping scope.
Winner at Beverley in June. Just respectable efforts in defeat both starts since so needs to raise his game in first-time headgear.
Off the mark at the third attempt at Chelmsford (AW debut) in October. 9/2, good second to a subsequent winner in handicap at Haydock (10.2f, good) 30 days ago so shortlisted under Buick.

Forecasts
Typical Woman (7/2), City Streak (4/1), Golden Melody (6/1), Cormier (15/2), Natchez Trace (9/1), Unplugged (11/1), Tiempo Star (12/1), Precision Storm (14/1), Grifter (14/1), Wots The Wifi Code (16/1), Baby Steps (20/1)
Plenty to consider but it could be worth chancing CORMIER, who was progressive when last seen in this sphere and has done well over hurdles since. Unplugged defied a near 3-year absence when beating a subsequent winner on yard debut at Pontefract and has had some time to get over that while waiting for easy ground, while Precision Storm again showed a good attitude when scoring over C&D 2 weeks ago.
- Cormier15/2
- Unplugged11/1
- Precision Storm14/1
