Tasted success twice this season, and he ran right up to his best when runner-up over 6f at Hamilton 2 starts back. However, not for the first time he didn't back up when eighth of 9 in a handicap at Newmarket 7 days ago. Back up in trip.
Dual 6f winner in 2021 who got right back on track when beaten a head in 6f handicap at Leicester last month. However, those exploits came on ground softer than good and he's disappointed faced with quicker conditions on each of his last 2 starts.
Low-mileage progressive 3-y-o who travelled well for a long way when tenth in the Britannia at Ascot and resumed winning ways back in calmer waters for new yard at Newmarket (1m) 2 weeks back, showing a good attitude. Drop in trip no problem and he's a player.
Promising individual who showed improved form to land 4-runner Doncaster handicap (1m) in June. Possibly not at home on the track when eighth of 9 in a Newmarket handicap (1m) since but he remains one to be positive about on balance.
Invincible Spirit gelding who was 2-3 in 7f novice events as a 2-y-o and displayed further progress when head second to re-opposing Zero Carbon on return/handicap debut at Haydock (7f) 4 weeks ago. Handy draw to work from and expected to feature.
Shamardal gelding who had little fuss in landing a match in a Brighton maiden (7f) in June and built on that effort when runner-up to Jimi Hendrix at Newmarket (1m) 3 weeks ago. Rider's handy claim off-sets his weight rise but drawn widest of all here.
Successful twice at Chester as a juvenile and, having acquitted himself well in handicaps earlier this term, he capitalised on the drop in to calmer waters to register a third success at that venue earlier this month. More on his plate back up in trip now, though.
Steadily progressive son of Kodiac who made a winning return in a C&D handicap in May and duly went in again at Newmarket (7f) last month, staying on to lead close home. Far from disgraced when third at Sandown (7f) since and he's worth a second look back here.
Endured luckless trips in handicaps here/Chester and made no mistake dropped back to this trip when opening his account at Epsom (7f) in June, leading 2f out and drawing clear. 9 lb higher now but no surprise to see him firmly in the mix again.

Plenty in with a shout in a competitive 3-y-o handicap and with that in mind there may be a spot of value in the shape of GALIAC. Successful on return over C&D in the spring, he's continued the good work since and wasn't seen to best effect when third at Sandown last time. From a handy draw it would come as no surprise to see him go well. Last-time-out winner's Koy Koy and Wodeton are others to consider.
