67,000 gns foal, 290,000 gns yearling. Brother to useful 2-y-o 6f winner Landshark and half-brother to 3 winners, including 7f winner Eula Varner. Lots to like on paper and the betting should be instructive.

Once-raced maiden. 13/2, second of 7 in minor event at Haydock (7f, good) on debut 22 days ago. Will be more street-wise this time and he has to enter calculations.

£15,000 yearling, Pride of Dubai gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including 9.5f winner Toast of The Town and 2-y-o 5f winner Strut, both useful. One to note in the betting.

Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 10 in minor event at Doncaster (7f, good, 11/4) when last seen in March. Since gelded (has also undergone a wind op) and he's one of the more likely winners.

Forecasts

Shigar (6/5), Federal Street (10/3), Faattik (7/2), Flyawaydream (11/2), Marley Head (16/1), Grand Cru Gaga (40/1), Glen Cove (40/1), Roundabout Silver (50/1), Permata (150/1), Zandora (200/1)

Verdict

FAATTIK ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper and it will look significant if there's confidence behind him in the betting. He is taken to make a winning start to his career, perhaps at the chief expense of Federal Street, who has shown plenty of ability in his two starts and will be a big threat if the first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect. Shigar and Flyawaydream are both accorded respect, too.
