Ran well from sliding mark when second over C&D in May and duly went one place better again ridden positively at Redcar (1m) 5 days ago, always holding on. Clearly in rude health at present but likely he'll face competition upfront in this more competitive scenario.
Largely thrived on a busy 2021, battling well to narrowly gain fourth success at Ripon (1m) in August. However, he's been below his best on 3 of his 4 starts so far this campaign, tenth of 13 in handicap at York (8.8f, good to firm) 11 days ago, folding.
Runner-up in consolation race here 12 months ago and he's better than ever this term, making it 2 wins from last 4 starts with plenty to spare over shorter here (6.9f) 26 days ago. Thriving at present and, with conditions fine, he's high on shortlist returned to further.
Came home fast and late to score on return at Beverley (8.5f) in April and plenty of good efforts in defeat since, second of 13 in handicap at York (8.8f, good to firm) 11 days ago. That appeals as solid form and he should remain competitive.
Eleven runs since last win in 2021. Thirteenth of 20 in handicap (8/1) at York (7.9f, good) 31 days ago, seeming to promise more than he delivered. Eased further 2 lb since though and he's a live each-way player.
Has been kept busy this year, running up to best when second behind the red-hot Boardman at Chester (7.5f) in May. However, hasn't scaled same heights in 2 starts since but this does at least represent a drop in class.
Dual 1m winner last autumn who, granted the run of the race ran up to his best when reeled in late on over 1m at Windsor (1m) 9 days ago. Can give another good account but will find dominatng this field tougher.
Building up a good record at Ayr for this yard, confirming previous promise to gain second victory at that venue (1m) 23 days ago, carrying head a little awkwardly but keeping on. Should go well again in this groove.
C&D winner. 8/1, respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm) 25 days ago, weakening inside final 1f. Mark is steadily easing again and his record here is a solid one.
Quirky type who, despite wandering late on, resumed winning ways in good style at Doncaster (1m) earlier this month. Matched that level when fourth at Yarmouth (1m) 2 weeks ago and not ruled out in this sort of form.
Runner-up in this race from 4 lb lower mark 12 months ago and back to winning ways from the front at Pontefract (1m) in April. Overdid forcing tactics at York (7.8f) last time but not to be underestimated in this field.
Ended losing run at Thirsk (1m) in August and plenty of creditable efforts thereafter last term. Solid enough return when midfield in 20-runner York handicap in May but bounce back called for having run below that level at Doncaster since.
Came in for a well-measured ride when off the mark for the campaign over C&D 9 days ago, tackled final 1f but finding extra. No surprise to see him out quickly but this tougher under a penalty.
Latest win at Musselburgh (9f) in May. 17/2, fourth of 7 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good to soft) 5 days ago, possibly stretched by the return to 10f. Drops back in trip now but others appeal more for win purposes.

Makeen (7/2), Cassy O (5/1), Pisanello (11/2), A Boy Named Ivy (8/1), King Triton (8/1), Invincibly (17/2), Tilsitt (12/1), Global Spirit (12/1), Le Reveur (16/1), End Zone (16/1), Dutch Decoy (16/1), Tommy G (20/1), Give It Some Teddy (20/1), Mostawaa (20/1), Garden Oasis (22/1), Arranmore (25/1), Mykonos St John (33/1)
MAKEEN has progressed again this term, impressing in how he travelled to score with plenty in hand over shorter here 26 days ago. A good pace to aim at will suit Julie Camacho's 5-y-o and he can make another bold bid from a handy draw in stall 3. Pisanello is enjoying a good campaign and is feared, along with A Boy Named Ivy, Global Spirit and King Triton.
