Latest win at Newcastle (1m) in January. 17/2, respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Musselburgh (9f, good) 32 days ago, fading final 1f. Eased further 1 lb and this drop back in trip will hold no fears.
Began last term with a bang, landing back-to-back C&D events, including this race from a 5 lb higher mark. Mixed bag initially this term but arrives having run best race when second at Beverley (8.5f) 8 days ago. Well worth a second look.
Winner at Lingfield (6f) in February on debut for Charlie Wallis and solid start for new yard, finishing close-up fifth of 16 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 10 days ago. Mark is workable but he's an infrequent winner.
5-y-o who enjoyed a productive spell on AW this winter, landing pair of Newcastle handicaps (at 1m). Tongue tied (left off here), respectable sixth of 11 in handicap (9/1) at Musselburgh (7.2f, good to firm) 17 days ago and he's not discounted here.
War Command gelding who ran out a 50/1 winner on debut at Southwell (1m) in April and matched that level (fair form) when second under a penalty at Thirsk (1m) later that month. Absent since but he may well have more to offer now handicapping.
11/2, fifth of 8 in handicap at this C&D (good) 9 days ago, carrying no win threat having missed the break. This rates a stronger contest and he can ill afford to lose ground at the start again here.
One win from 31 Flat runs. Good second of 8 in handicap at Goodwood (1m) 12 days ago, helped by being held up in strongly-run race and finding only an unexposed 3-y-o too good. Can go well again for all losing run tempers enthusiasm.
8-y-o who landed this race in 2019 and he arrives here in good order, landing back-to-back handicap hurdles at Perth (2m) in recent months. Appeals as being on a handy mark on pick of Flat form and worth a look in refitted blinkers.
Fifteen runs since last win in 2021. Bit below form seventh of 13 in handicap at York (8.8f, good to firm, 22/1) 11 days ago, effort 2f out but not quicken. Mark has eased a little more and this not so demanding.
Eleven runs since last win in 2020. Third of 5 in handicap (11/2) at Chelmsford (1m) 34 days ago, fading final 1f. This stiff finish may not prove ideal here.
6f maiden winner as a 2-y-o who ended last season below best in nurseries. Better for return when fifth of 9 in a C&D event in May but failed to build on that at Hamilton (8.3f) subsequently. Not the easiest to weigh up.
50/1, first run since leaving Mrs J. Harrington when last of 10 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good) 7 days ago, dropping away over 1f out. Needs to show more before becoming of interest.

Forecasts
Tangled (3/1), Abduction (9/2), Bringitonboris (6/1), Poet's Dawn (15/2), War Of Words (17/2), Maysong (9/1), Jackhammer (11/1), War Defender (11/1), Dewey Road (18/1), Shalaa Asker (28/1), St Andrew's Castle (28/1), Papa K (150/1)
Successful from a 5 lb higher mark in this race 12 months ago, TANGLED signalled he's coming to the boil again when runner-up to a 3-y-o at Beverley 8 days ago and he could well be ready to cash in with his in-form rider taking off a valuable 5 lb. Bringitonboris, Abduction and Jackhammer head up the dangers, whilst War of Words is less exposed than most and would need considering if strong in betting on handicap bow.
