Has turned over a new leaf since undergoing a second wind op, opening Rules account back from a break in a Sedgefield handicap chase (17f) in April. Followed up in good style over the same C&D a month later and 8 lb rise looks manageable.
Resumed winning ways over fences in decisive fashion over C&D last month. Things rather went his way on that occasion and now 7 lb higher in the weights, but clearly likes it here (course form figures read 621321) and couldn't rule out.
Winning pointer who offered something to work on when fifth on chase debut at Perth in May. However, failed to build on that at Kelso (21.6f) next time and drops back in trip here with tongue strap added.
Won twice in this sphere at Kelso last March. Back to form when runner-up there this spring, but three subsequent efforts not so good and others make more appeal from a win point of view.
Scored twice over fences during early 2019, but not at his best in half-a-dozen appearances since returning from a lengthy absence in October. Now tried in a tongue strap.
Hurdles winner at Sedgefield in November. Mixed bag since and while she put in a good shift when runner-up back at that course last month, she will need to improve for the switch to fences if she's to emerge on top here.
Modest form over hurdles, but appeared to take a step forward when fourth of 13 on third chase start here (20.1f) in March (sported first-time cheekpieces). This drop in trip looks a good move and each-way chance if responding well to new headgear.
Winner of just one of his 22 starts over fences, namely a Market Rasen handicap in October 2020. Several creditable efforts to his name since, including when third here last time, and he's another with each-way claims.
Some decent efforts in recent months, but remains a maiden following 25 starts under Rules and his temperament isn't all it could be.
Modest maiden hurdler/chaser who has more bad efforts than good ones to his name.

Forecasts
Follow Your Fire (3/1), Going Mobile (4/1), Fourth Of July (6/1), First Revolution (6/1), Westdante (6/1), Pure Surf (17/2), Onenightintown (14/1), Budarri (18/1), Passnotalegend (20/1), Deerfoot (33/1)
A third consecutive success beckons for FIRST REVOLUTION, who quickened away from his rivals in taking fashion at Sedgefield last month and it's an unlikely than an 8 lb rise will be enough to stop him. Westdante will be a threat if able to build on his latest improved effort now equipped with blinkers, while C&D winner Follow Your Fire and Going Mobile are others to consider.
