Moss Tucker^t⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: Billy Lee| T: K J Condon| OR: 89| CD

11/8

Dual course winner (including over C&D) who wasn't disgraced when eighth of 18 in handicap at the Curragh (6f, good, 10/1) 9 days ago. However, return to this venue a plus and expected to give a good account.

Form: 301-308

Claonadh²³⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Jessica Maye⁽¹⁰⁾| T: W McCreery| OR: 82| D

12/1

Successful sole start as a 2-y-o in a Curragh maiden (5f) but only improved marginally during a winless 2021, albeit largely tackling stronger company. Returns on a career-low mark at least and interesting if strong in the betting.

Form: 550860-

Iva Batt^p²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: Gary Carroll| T: J G Murphy| OR: 81| D

3/1

1 win from 3 runs this year. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, career best when winning 20-runner handicap at Naas (5f, good to soft, 8/1) 24 days ago, keeping on well. Handicapper has reacted but claims with a repeat nevertheless.

Form: 028-091

(1)

Dairerin¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: N G McCullagh| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR: 87| D

28/1

Tenth of 11 in handicap at the Curragh (7f, good to soft, 40/1) 10 days ago, not unduly punished. Back down in trip now and bounce back called for.

Form: 128-300

(4)

Jarvis¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: Colin Keane| T: G M Lyons| OR: 87| D

7/2

1 win from 2 runs this year. Latest win at Bellewstown in April. Below form sixth of 12 in handicap (13/2) at Cork (5f, soft) 13 days ago.

Form: 2021-16

(7)

Chocquinto¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 8-9| J: Andrew Slattery| T: Miss H McLoughlin| OR: 70| D

15/2

7 lengths last of 7 to Brostaigh in listed race (200/1) at Naas (5f, good to firm) 16 days ago, finding the company too strong. Still, entitled to strip fitter for that and return to handicaps rates a plus.

Form: 34680-7

(2)

Maggie Thunder^b⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 8-7| J: Chris Hayes| T: P J F Hassett| OR: 47| D

33/1

Twelve runs since last win in 2021. Thirteenth of 18 in handicap at Fairyhouse (6f, good, 13/2) 4 days ago. Much more needed to figure here on these terms.

Form: 585230

Forecasts

Moss Tucker (11/8), Iva Batt (3/1), Jarvis (7/2), Chocquinto (15/2), Claonadh (12/1), Dairerin (28/1), Maggie Thunder (33/1)

MOSS TUCKER hasn't been at his very best of late but it's worth noting that each of his career victories have come around here (latterly over C&D in the autumn) and he could be worth siding with to get back to winning ways having eased in the weights. Iva Batt is a sprinter in rude health having scored convincingly at Naas 24 days ago and is next best, ahead of Jarvis.
