Verdict

GIBSIDE has shown more than enough in handicaps at Beverley the last twice to suggest that he has a race in him, and this step up in trip could be just the tonic. He is a viable alternative to Captain Kane, who continued his good all-weather work back on turf when scoring at Bath recently and is bound to be popular in his bid to complete the hat-trick. Punda Maria and At Liberty can do battle for minor honours.
