Yukon Mission^b⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: Jason Hart| T: J & S Quinn| OR: 72| D

10/3

Respectable fourth of 13 in handicap (6/1) at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) 7 days ago, pushed along 2f out and running on. Should give another good account.

Stalingrad⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 9-6| J: S H James| T: Grant Tuer| OR: 69

9/4

Fair performer who was gambled on and didn't shape at all badly when second of 8 in handicap on yard debut at Carlisle (5f, soft) 4 days ago. Remains a maiden but he's a player nevertheless.

Form: 32540-2

(6)

Merry Secret^b²⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: Phil Dennis| T: L A Mullaney| OR: 67| D

7/1

17/2 and blinkered for 1st time, won 15-runner handicap at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) 20 days ago, seemingly well served by fitting of blinkers/drop back to 6f. 5 lb higher now but possibilities with a repeat.

Pivoting¹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-3| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR: 66| D

6/1

Returned with a creditable third in a C&D handicap in April but consistency not his strong suit and he ran below his best when sixth of 7 in handicap at Wetherby (5.5f, good, 4/1) 17 days ago.

Form: 6500-36

(3)

Billian²⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 8-11| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: P A Kirby| OR: 60

5/1

Eleven runs since last win in 2020. 20/1, seventh of 15 in handicap at Haydock (6f) 27 days ago, never nearer. That was his first start for 6 months and he's fallen plenty in the weights if building on that effort.

Form: 40700-7

(4)

Mr Trevor³⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: A Mullen| T: Mrs A Duffield| OR: 58| D

13/2

Soft ground winner at Thirsk (6f) last summer and largely consistent in defeat thereafter. Not disgraced when fourth in a C&D event on return and he should give another good account from this mark.

Form: 15634-4

Forecasts

Stalingrad (9/4), Yukon Mission (10/3), Billian (5/1), Pivoting (6/1), Mr Trevor (13/2), Merry Secret (7/1)

STALINGRAD remains a maiden but he shaped up well enough on his first start for 7 months/yard debut when runner-up at Carlisle 4 days ago and he's just the type his shrewd yard could eke a little more from. Thirsk-scorer Merry Secret and Yukon Mission can also play a part.
