Temperamental sort but ran well when third in handicap at Kelso (18.1f) in April. However, below par on 2 starts later in the month, Not the easiest to catch right.
Looked good prospect when won bumper on debut but hasn't gone on from that effort over hurdles yet. More promising signs though when third at Market Rasen (18.6f) on handicap debut. Capable of better.
Has failed to progress from winning on hurdles debut but ran one of better races since when runner-up in handicap at Uttoxeter (19.9f) in November. However, that was a standout effort in 2021/22.
Ran well when runner-up in novice handicap at Musselburgh (19.8f) in March and improved again when going one better in similar event over C&D next time, ridden by Patrick Wadge both starts. Respected.
Fair form in bumpers for Keith Dalgleish and built on previous promise over hurdles when off the mark in handicap at Newcastle (20.3f) last month, with Bruce Lynn on board. Open to further progress.
Best effort over hurdles when second of 15 in handicap at Ballinrobe (21.6f) last summer, headed final 100 yds. Not in the same form when last seen in September though. Has left P. J. Rothwell since.
Useful stayer on the Flat for Ralph Beckett in 2020 before 19-month absence. Little show in 3 novice hurdles but made a winning handicap debut at Carlisle (17f) 25 days ago. Step up in trip can suit.
Won handicap at Carlisle (20f) in October but has been hit and miss since, though did produce best effort yet when runner-up at the same course last month. Task is now to back that effort up.
Fair form in bumpers but has finished well held on his 3 starts over hurdles so far. Makes handicap debut having had a wind op, so interesting to see what the market makes of him.
Sliding in the weights without really looking like taking advantage at present, though has been well found in the market on his 3 starts for his current yard. More needed in 1st time tongue tie.
Ended losing streak stretching back over 2 years when successful in handicap at Catterick (25.3f) on New Year's Day. Not in the same form 3 starts since though, including here (23.9f) 21 days ago.
Winner of a 2m juvenile hurdle back in November 2019, but lightly raced since and has shown little on 3 starts this year. Has had a wind op.
Following a wind op/8 weeks off, produced one of better efforts over hurdles when fourth of 9 in handicap at Ayr (20.5f) 8 days ago, though looked awkward under pressure. Others preferred.

Warriors Story (5/2), Wolfspear (9/2), Petite Rhapsody (9/2), Rickety Gate (5/1), Lusitanien (9/1), Paddy The Panda (12/1), Dan Gun (12/1), Cliffs Of Dooneen (16/1), Presentedwithwings (18/1), Malangen (18/1), Jack Of All Shapes (28/1), Late Date (40/1), Halcyon Dreams (150/1), Geyser (200/1)
WOLFSPEAR hasn't gone on as hoped over hurdles so far given the impression he made in his bumper, but it's still early days for him and he produced his best effort over timber when third on handicap debut last time. The 6-y-o remains capable of better, especially with the step up in trip to suit, so he can continue his progress to see off the challenge of last-time-out winners Petite Rhapsody and Warriors Story.
