Dual C&D winner, the latest in February. Creditable sixth of 15 in handicap (22/1) at Lingfield (12f, AW) 25 days ago and now 1 lb below his last winning mark, but others make greater appeal from a win point of view.

Creditable second of 6 in handicap (20/1) at this C&D. Off 179 days ahead of this first run for yard after leaving Karen Tutty. Not without hope by any means.

15/2
Three-time C&D winner. Eight wins from 22 Flat runs. Career best when winning 6-runner handicap (4/1) at this C&D 55 days ago, slowly away. 3 lb rise fair enough and he's likely to be in the thick of things.

16/1
18/1, first run since leaving George Boughey when twelfth of 15 in handicap at Thirsk (8f, good to firm) 10 days ago. Needs to bounce back, but return to this trip will be in his favour and he has slipped to a dangerous mark.

7/4
Lightly-raced maiden. 11/10, fifth of 7 in handicap at Yarmouth (10.1f, good) when last seen in September. Showed promise in maidens/novice company prior to that and this low-mileage 4-y-o needs considering.

9/4, good second of 8 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm) 21 days ago, conceding first run. Back up in trip now switched to tapeta and he has to be high on the shortlist.

Forecasts

Mango Boy (7/4), Dual Identity (5/2), Dragons Will Rise (15/2), Athmad (10/1), Busby (10/1), Freak Out (12/1), Jean Baptiste (16/1), Diamondonthehill (20/1)

Verdict

None of these can be ruled out with confidence, but DUAL IDENTITY appeals as the most likely winner on the back of his highly encouraging reappearance second at Yarmouth where he just failed to reel one in who enjoyed first run. The lightly-raced Mango Boy may have more to offer as a 4-y-o and he merits respect, but Jean Baptiste is second choice having dipped to an attractive mark.
