Very talented during his peak years in France, notably winning Group 1 Prix Jean Prat at Deauville as a 3-y-o. Just useful form in the early part of 2021, however, so probably a bit too high in weights on British debut.
Likeable type who resumed winning ways back at 1m in optional claiming event at Goodwood in September, taking advantage of a good run up the rail. Ran as well as could have been expected in listed event at Lingfield final start. Off 152 days.
Raced 6 times last year, scoring twice, namely maiden on second start and handicap final start, both at this track. 5 lb rise seems fair so high on the shortlist in first-time hood.
Some good efforts in a winless 2021, including a third in the Lincoln. Left reappearance well behind when unlucky not to end losing run at Redcar 10 days ago so big player off same mark.
Won 3 of his 5 starts at 2 yrs, including nurseries at York and Doncaster. Seen only twice last year but shaped well when fifth at Doncaster in September. Return to 1m will suit and one to be interested in.
In fine fettle when landing back-to-back handicaps (at Nottingham/Doncaster) in June but went off the boil after. However, starts the new season only 1 lb above last winning mark and Ryan Moore booked.
Landed a gamble at Pontefract in September ended the year with excellent second at Newcastle, just failing. Should be on the premises again if ready to go (mixed record first-time out).
Back-to-back victories last spring for Richard Hannon. Improved on second start for this yard when runner-up at Kempton in December and remains unexposed at this trip.
Kept busy on the AW this year and has been holding her form very well, winning for the third time at Kempton in March. Easy to excuse latest run and won't be lacking for fitness back on the turf.
Made the most of a good opportunity in maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f) but again looking less than straightforward under pressure and was below par on handicap bow/return at Leicester. Others look better treated.

Forecasts
Carolus Magnus (9/4), Hortzadar (4/1), Coase (9/2), Ataser (7/1), Via Serendipity (10/1), Siam Fox (12/1), Intellogent (14/1), Wonder Elmossman (18/1), Billy Mill (20/1), Enigmatic (40/1)
Plenty to consider but CAROLUS MAGNUS took his form to another level when a convincing winner over this C&D when last seen in September and can extend his unbeaten record at this track to 3. Hortzadar came close to ending his losing run at Redcar recently so looks an obvious threat off the same mark, while the lightly-raced Ataser is an interesting contender over this trip.
