Won 6f handicaps at Doncaster and Ascot last year. Has the odd kink or 2 but strikes as the type to do better again this season.
Ended last season in top form, winning 6f handicaps at Pontefract and over C&D before a narrow reversal in C&D listed event. Career-high mark on return but she goes well fresh and good record here bodes well. One to consider.
Without a win since his 2020 Portland success but plenty of good runs along the way and excuses in Meydan when last seen in January. Rare go over 6f and might be found wanting.
Looks awkward but that didn't stop him winning 3 6f handicaps last summer. Good record on stiff tracks and the type to land a big pot this year. Returns with yard quiet.
Scored twice last year, signing off with victory in 6f Kempton handicap in November. Returns on a hot race, but like many from the yard, has gone well first time up the last 2 seasons. Could figure.
Did well with a hood fitted at the end of last season, winning 6f handicap on the July Course and second at Doncaster. Has scored fresh but needs to improve to land this on return.
Won at Pontefract and York over this trip last term. Good efforts this term, including back over 6f in big-field Doncaster handicap last time. Fitness will count for plenty and he's interesting despite the step up in grade, with cheekpieces going on.
Won the Britannia in 2018. 7f claiming winner on AW for Archie Watson in January but poor in handicaps since and tricky to fancy returning to turf in handicap like this.
Three from 3 around Bath under this rider at the end of last summer and type to go on improving this term as a half-brother to the yard's star sprinter Oxted.
Won 3 class 4 sprint handicaps over this trip last summer. Could kick on again this term but returns in a hot event.
Dual winner over sprint trips. 3 runs last term for Richard Fahey were disappointing but shaped as if retaining the majority of his ability on return for another new yard at Wolverhampton last month, giving the impression he might come on for the race.
C&D winner successful twice over 6f last term when holding his form pretty well. Just 1 lb above last winning mark but this is tough and no surprise were he to just need it.

A hot early-season sprint handicap that can go to GALE FORCE MAYA, who has a good record here and has gone well fresh. Chipstead could make his mark in the top sprint handicaps this term and is feared in his bid for a 4-timer on his return. Bergerac has race-fitness on his side and could be set for a big run in first-time cheekpieces.
