Taunton winner last spring and fair third here back from a break on debut for Ralph Smith in October. Found life tougher since (for Harriet Brown the last twice) and now drops in class for new yard.

Prolific hurdles winner who opened chase account at Ludlow last March. Mixed bag since but performed with credit when runner-up at Chepstow on penultimate start and he's on an attractive mark.

Race was rather handed to him when snapping a lengthy losing sequence in first-time cheekpieces at Warwick in January. No surprise that he failed to back that up next time and others look stronger.

Fortune winner of C&D hunter last April and added another to his tally at Stratford a month later. However, well held both starts this season in races won by Smuggler's Blues and Max Dynamo.

Winner over fences at Uttoxeter and Sedgefield in recent months and not disgraced back hurdling off this mark at Carlisle (25f) last time. Still, this demands career-best.

In good form following a wind op last spring and has kicked on again this season, bagging handicaps here in January/February. Up 10 lb for latest success but he's a big player all the same.

Forecasts

Max Dynamo (11/8), Coup De Pinceau (9/4), Brianstorm (10/3), Smuggler's Blues (8/1), Light Flicker (17/2), Broken Quest (11/1), Keltus (14/1), Tikk Tock Boom (22/1)

Verdict

It's fair to say that BRIANSTORM's profile has a patchy look to it, but he lost little caste in defeat when chasing home a progressive 6-y-o at Market Rasen and is taken to go one better. Max Dynamo completed the hat-trick in good style here last time and is feared greatly, despite being hit with a 10 lb rise. Coup de Pinceau will be a threat if able to bounce back on debut for Colin Tizzard.
