Useful hurdler/chaser but more miss than hit last term and this season's efforts have lacked spark.

Has returned an improved model, opening his account at Exeter in October and thereabouts on each of his 4 starts since. Shade more needed off his mark but should be in the mix.

10/11
Irish point winner who landed an Exeter maiden (21.6f) on second hurdles start. Third in a useful novice event over a similar trip to this at Ascot next time and he's interesting on handicap debut.

Has dipped to an attractive mark, now 6 lb lower than for his latest success here in December 2020. Still, more bad efforts than good ones to his name since and others look more solid.

Missed whole of last season and hasn't made much of an impact in 3 starts since returning to action in December. Given a chance by the handicapper but opposable all the same. Cheekpieces refitted.

Improved when scoring in good style from the front over C&D in December. Followed up off 10 lb higher back here (21.4f) a month later and, though up another 6 lb, there could be ever better to come.

Forecasts

Ballyblack (10/11), Guernesey (9/2), Electric Annie (9/2), Reserve Tank (17/2), Birds Of Prey (10/1), River Bray (22/1)

Verdict

ELECTRIC ANNIE has sprouted wings since rejoining this yard and while she has gone up a total of 16 lb for back-to-back victories here the last twice, there could be more in the locker. She is taken to complete the hat-trick but won't have things all her own way, with unexposed handicap debutant Ballyblack, third in a useful Ascot novice last time, and the consistent Guernesey in opposition.
