Full Intention^p⁷⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 9-7| J: David Probert| T: S Pearce| OR: 79| CD

12/1

Five-time C&D winner, including on his latet start in October. Only 1 lb higher so likely to have a say if returning from a break in similar form.

Form: 8/13341-

(2)

Whittle Le Woods⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-5| J: Jason Watson| T: M Appleby| OR: 77| BF

1/1

Made an encouraging start for shrewd new connections when close second at Newcastle (6f) last week. Leading claims with the step back up to 7f likely to help if anything.

Form: 35323-2

(6)

Good Humor^t1⁹²

Age: 5| Weight: 9-3| J: Jason Hart| T: S C Williams| OR: 75| D

10/1

Career best when winning 13-runner handicap at Kempton (7f) in October (final start for Roger Varian). Tongue strap on first time. Interesting to see how he goes in betting on yard debut.

Form: 3/43951-

(7)

Capla Berry^t²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 8-12| J: Rob Hornby| T: Rae Guest| OR: 70| D

28/1

Fifth of 8 in handicap (14/1) at Kempton (7f) 29 days ago. Now below the mark she won at Doncaster last summer but others are still more persuasive.

Form: 172755-

(3)

Porfin⁶^{(ex 5)}

Age: 4| Weight: 8-10| J: Hollie Doyle| T: P S McEntee| OR: 63| BF| D

7/1

Thriving for new yard, winning 3 times between 5f and 7f in recent weeks. Just stretched by 1m at Lingfield 6 days ago and likely he's still in good form.

Form: 2141-14

(4)

El Camino^p,t⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: Theodore Ladd⁽³⁾| T: M Appleby| OR: 67| C

16/1

Course winner (1m) in October. Respectable fourth of 8 here (1m again) 7 days ago. Down in trip. Whittle Le Woods looks yard first string.

Form: 68150-4

(5)

Legende d'Art^p1³⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 8-6| J: Hayley Turner| T: H Spiller| OR: 64| CD

7/2

Improved on recent efforts to win 12-runner C&D handicap 35 days ago. Had a couple of next-time-out winners in behind him on that occasion so a 3 lb rise looks fair. Cheekpieces back on. Considered.

Form: 282341-

Forecasts

Whittle Le Woods (1/1), Legende d'Art (7/2), Porfin (7/1), Good Humor (10/1), Full Intention (12/1), El Camino (16/1), Capla Berry (28/1)

This looks competitive despite only 7 runners. WHITTLE LE WOODS gets the nod on the back of an encouraging first run for this yard at Newcastle last week but Legende d'Art, who had winners behind him when scoring over C&D last time, and the thriving Porfin should ensure Mick Appleby's charge doesn't get things all his own way.
