Showed ability sole start in bumpers, but has failed to make a meaningful impact in novice hurdles and needs to raise his game now pitched into a handicap with cheekpieces on for the first time.
Opened his account in 3m Musselburgh handicap last January and positive start to this season when fourth of 12 off this mark at Newcastle (23.7f). Should make his presence felt.
Winner of this race 12 months ago and very nearly belied odds of 50/1 when close on return at Uttoxeter in November. Will be a danger to all if none the worse for recent Wetherby tumble.
Point winner who left previous Rules form well behind when scoring at Wetherby last December. However, he didn't show much on his reappearance at Southwell and it's probably best to look elsewhere.
Winner of just one of his 25 starts overall, but he put in a solid shift when hitting the crossbar off this mark at Wetherby (3m) on Monday. Reproduction of that would put him firmly in the picture.
Confirmed some ability remains when runner-up over 3m at Perth in August. However, commensurate with his hit-and-miss profile he has failed to back that up in 2 subsequent appearances.
Yet to win a race of any description and while her chase debut at Sedgefield in November wasn't completely devoid of encouragement, more is needed back hurdling in a tongue strap following a wind op.
Runner-up on second of her 2 starts between the flags, but yet to shine under Rules and significant step forward needed now upped in trip for this handicap debut.
Winless following 13 attempts under Rules, but she chased Oliver's Island home off 7 lb higher in this race 12 months ago. Also found just one too good on return at Hexham and she's a key player.
Some fair form to his name on the Flat and bettered previous efforts in this sphere when sixth in a 17-runner handicap here (19.3f) 18 days ago. Each-way shout if coping with this step up in trip.
Merely hinted at ability in trio of novice hurdles and has failed to make an impact since switched to handicaps. Looks set for another struggle, unless the fitting of cheekpieces does the trick.
Yet to show any worthwhile form and, 2 lb 'wrong' at the weights, this 6-y-o is readily passed over.

Forecasts
Derrick D'Anjou (11/4), Fame And Hope (3/1), Oliver's Island (7/2), Bullion Boss (11/2), Tanora (12/1), The Bravest (16/1), Court At Slip (22/1), Lady Vinetta (33/1), Great Raffles (33/1), Late Date (40/1), Trimmers Lane (40/1), Granny Mags (50/1), That's My Dubai (50/1), Balkotic (66/1)
DERRICK D'ANJOU is clearly no winning machine, but he signalled that his turn may be near when finding just one too good under Danny Burton at Wetherby on Monday. He earns the vote off the same mark here, with conditions again in his favour. Last year's 1-2 Oliver's Island and Fame And Hope rate the main dangers, in that order of preference, while Bullion Boss is also worthy of consideration.

- OLIVER'S ISLAND (IRE)
- FAME AND HOPE (IRE)
