Soft Risk⁴³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: B S Hughes| T: N G Richards| D

2/9

Easy winner of Ayr bumper on debut in May and again looked a good prospect when taking a novice hurdle at the same course (2m) on return last month. Capable of defying a penalty.

Form: 11

Breaking Records^t²⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Thomas Dowson| T: M A Barnes| OR: 84

200/1

Modest sprinter on the Flat who hasn't taken to this game. Easily opposed.

Form: U09

Hector Master⁹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: S Mulqueen| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell

4/1

Modest form in bumpers and was in the process of making an encouraging hurdling debut (would have been placed) when falling heavily at the last at Perth 3 months ago. One to consider.

Form: 247-F

Lewa House⁶⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Bruce Lynn⁽⁵⁾| T: N W Alexander

50/1

Little impact in bumpers/over hurdles to date. Set for another struggle.

Form: 76-88

Room At The Top^t1²⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Craig Nichol| T: Ewan Whillans

66/1

Lightly raced 6-y-o who has had his problems and was pulled up on his hurdling debut in a novice at Newcastle 20 days ago. Makes no appeal.

Form: 57/P

Scots Poet^h,t²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Callum Bewley| T: Ewan Whillans| D

22/1

Stratford bumper winner who has shaped a bit better than the result suggests on both hurdling outings but is unlikely to come into his own until switched to handicaps.

Form: 8-68187

Warriors Story³⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: N W Alexander

12/1

Showed fair form in bumpers for Keith Dalgleish but down the field so far over hurdles. No reason to think he'll make an impact this side of handicaps.

Form: 4348-88

Fethard Glory^t⁸⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 10-5| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell

33/1

Modest form in bumpers (left Gavin Cromwell prior to reappearance), but tame initial effort over hurdles in novice at this course 87 days ago. Others preferred.

Form: 46-33

Racks Cross⁵²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-5| J: Henry Brooke| T: Mrs H O Graham

25/1

Off the mark at fourth attempt in Irish points in May 2019. Signs of promise both starts over hurdles to date, but she's obviously hard to train, off a further 17 months prior to this.

Forecasts

Soft Risk (2/9), Hector Master (4/1), Warriors Story (12/1), Scots Poet (22/1), Racks Cross (25/1), Fethard Glory (33/1), Lewa House (50/1), Goast Dancer (50/1), Room At The Top (66/1), Chinese Spirit (100/1), Breaking Records (200/1)

Having landed a bumper and novice hurdle at Ayr without being fully tested, SOFT RISK is likely to extend his unbeaten record in what strikes as a thin race on paper. Hector Master, who was shaping up well prior to falling on his first outing over timber 97 days ago, looks the obvious danger.
