Denning

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: Ryan Tate| T: Sir Mark Prescott

(5)

Fantasy Navigator¹⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: A Mullen| T: M Appleby

80/1

Cheap purchase who has looked limited to date, so easily passed over.

Form: 86

(3)

Hebrides¹⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: Tom Marquand| T: W J Haggas| BF

2/5

Six-figure Breeze-Up acquisition who made a promising start when third in a Newbury maiden 15 days ago. Sure to improve, so should take all the beating.

Form: 3

(2)

Hegemon²²

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: D Fentiman| T: T D Easterby

100/1

Just poor form to date, looking more like one for low-grade handicaps next year. Hard to fancy.

Form: 76

(4)

Oasis Gift²⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: David Probert| T: A M Balding

15/2

Bred to make a useful sprinter and, while he found little when eighth in a novice at Kempton last month, he should improve for that experience, so not a forlorn hope.

Form: 8

(9)

Pull The Lever²⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: J F Egan| T: D J S Ffrench Davis

13/2

Showed plenty to work on when fourth of 8 in maiden at Haydock on debut but failed to build on it at Kempton subsequently. Too soon to write him off.

Form: 46

(1)

Taratari

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: Rob Hornby| T: Eve Johnson Houghton

9/1

Foaled April 19. 30,000 gns yearling, Caravaggio colt. Half-brother to several winners, including smart winner up to 7f Pretty Baby and 6f-7f winner Tamaska. Worth a market check.

Form:

(8)

Ventura Tease⁴³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: G Lee| T: B Smart

22/1

Related to winners but has only hinted at ability so far, so hard to imagine he'll trouble the principals in this.

Form: 77

Non-Runners

(10)

King Alfred¹⁵

Weight: 9-5| Age: 2

T: E Walker J: Hollie Doyle

(6)

Tilsworth Ony Ta¹²

T: J R Jenkins J: C Lee

Forecasts

Hebrides (2/5), King Alfred (5/2), Pull The Lever (13/2), Oasis Gift (15/2), Taratari (9/1), Ventura Tease (22/1), Denning (28/1), Tilsworth Ony Ta (33/1), Fantasy Navigator (80/1), Hegemon (100/1)

HEBRIDES shaped nicely after a slow start at Newbury on debut and his stable's runners often improve plenty for a run, so he's an obvious choice to open his account at the second attempt. King Alfred seems the most feasible danger, although market support for Taratari would obviously be worthy of attention.
