Full Aux Rois^h³³

7/1

Form: 45/P-433

Blue Hawaii¹⁵⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Sean Quinlan| T: T Collier| OR: 104WS

13/2

Bumper winner who built on hurdling debut when landing a 10-runner novice at Catterick in March but was a little disappointing switched to handicaps at Hexham next time. Might need this reappearance.

Form: 77/141-4

Ottavio^h⁴⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 11-6| J: Charlie Hammond| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR: 104

13/2

Fairly useful on the Flat (stays 1½m) in France and progressive over hurdles for current stable. More to come now handicapping, particularly if the gallop is solid, so worth taking a chance on.

Form: 943

Simple Rules⁸¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Callum Bewley| T: M Todhunter| OR: 100

10/1

Standout effort over hurdles when second in a maiden here back in December. Handicap debut at Market Rasen 81 days ago was disappointing, but it's too soon to completely write him off.

Form: B2/726-7

Lord Caprio^t³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: R P McLernon| T: B Haslam| OR: 96

10/3

Stayed on strongly to lead late at Hexham 36 days ago and remains with plenty of handicapping scope, so obvious claims if he turns up in the same mood.

Form: PP-7341

Mistamel^p¹⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 10-12| J: C O'Farrell| T: I Jardine| OR: 95

28/1

Not seen in this sphere since 2017 (when trained by Gordon Elliott) and has only achieved modest form on the Flat for this stable. Others preferred.

Form: 076980/

Treasured Company^p1⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Thomas Willmott⁽⁵⁾| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 95

11/4

Readily opened his account in 16-runner handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter in September but ran out (for second time in his career) over C&D last time, so needs treating with a degree of caution.

Form: 3R401R

Balranald^p⁴¹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-11| J: Ross Chapman| T: Mrs A C Hamilton| OR: 94WS

7/1

French Flat winner who failed to strike in 12 attempts for Keith Dalgleish over hurdles and has been below form on both outings for current yard.

Form: 524-248

Burnage Boy⁷⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-6| J: Alain Cawley| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 89

50/1

Modest operator who has struggled since switched to handicap hurdles. Hard to fancy.

Form: 725P/9-8

Non-Runners

Lucky Robin⁸

Weight: 11-12| Age: 9

T: B Ellison J: B S Hughes

Oakmont³⁹

Weight: 11-4| Age: 8

T: James Moffatt J: Jamie Hamilton

Forecasts

Lucky Robin (5/2), Treasured Company (11/4), Lord Caprio (10/3), Ottavio (13/2), Blue Hawaii (13/2), Full Aux Rois (7/1), Balranald (7/1), Simple Rules (10/1), Oakmont (10/1), Mistamel (28/1), Burnage Boy (50/1)

OTTAVIO's opening mark is lenient judged on his Flat exploits and there has been enough encouragement from him over hurdles to think he can make a winning start to handicapping. Lucky Robin arrives in form and should give another good account and last-time-out Hexham winner Lord Caprio remains well treated on old form.
