Bidding for a hat-trick in this event and he arrives in great nick, scoring at Thirsk before unlucky-in-running sixth at Beverley 11 days ago. On a winning mark and rates a big player.

C&D winner but it's now thirteen runs since last win in 2020. Respectable fifth of 13 in handicap at Ayr (8f, good to firm) 15 days ago but more is needed from 5 lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts

Delgrey Boy (10/3), Scottish Summit (10/3), Give It Some Teddy (7/2), Hortzadar (8/1), Copper And Five (9/1), Sucellus (12/1), Perfect Swiss (18/1), A Boy Named Ivy (20/1), Pisanello (25/1), Hayadh (28/1), Old News (33/1), Al Erayg (33/1)

Verdict

Most of these are in with a shout, but GIVE IT SOME TEDDY has got the job done in this event for the past two seasons and looks primed for another bold showing so gets the vote. David O'Meara's ex-French recruit Pisanello signalled he's ready to hit form when fifth over C&D last month and is feared most, although C&D scorer Scottish Summit is another who can make his presence felt.

  1. GIVE IT SOME TEDDY
  2. PISANELLO (IRE)
  3. SCOTTISH SUMMIT (IRE)
