Headstrong sort who is going through a good spell around 2m, supplementing his course win at Uttoxeter in July. 3 lb rise perfectly fair.

Darling Du Large^t¹⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 11-6| J: J J Burke| T: T R George| OR: 111

4/1

Fairly useful winner over hurdles who opened his account over fences in 4-runner handicap at Newton Abbot (16.3f, heavy). Matched that form when second over C&D and she can be a factor again.

Form: 59F3-12

Atlantic Storm^t³

Age: 9| Weight: 11-5| J: Charlie Hammond| T: B R Summers| OR: 110| CD

3/1

Added to his tally when striking over C&D in May. Largely creditable efforts in defeat subsequently but still just above that last successful mark.

Form: 124324

Away For Slates¹⁰⁴

Age: 11| Weight: 11-3| J: Mitchell Bastyan⁽³⁾| T: M F Harris| OR: 108| D

40/1

Took advantage of sliding mark when scoring from the front at Fontwell (17.8f) and followed up off 5 lb higher over same C&D. Tame effort over 21f in May and this trip more suitable.

Form: 5112-U6

Larch Hill²¹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-3| J: B S Hughes| T: C & A Pogson| OR: 108| D

7/1

Scored over fences at Warwick in April and runner-up on next 2 outings. Back on his game when runner-up over timber 3 weeks ago but since left Nigel Twiston-Davies.

Form: 1-22452

Jarlath^p¹⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 11-2| J: Kevin Jones⁽³⁾| T: J W Mullins| OR: 107| C| D

14/1

Fair and reliable chaser who won 2 of 3 starts in jumpers bumpers at Lingfield. Fit from the Flat but always behind back over the larger obstacles a fortnight ago.

Form: 12152-7

Ambassador⁴⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 115

5/2

Speedy type who opened account in juvenile maiden at Hereford (2m) in March. Rather expensive to follow since and isn't bred for chasing, but he's in to hands.

Form: 12-2228

Weight: 11-7| Age: 8

Forecasts

Ambassador (5/2), Atlantic Storm (3/1), Darling Du Large (4/1), Romanor (9/2), Larch Hill (7/1), Jarlath (14/1), Ballyneety (14/1), Away For Slates (40/1)

DARLING DU LARGE has returned at the top of her game this summer and, just 1 lb above her last winning mark, she makes as much appeal as any of these. Romanor chases a hat-trick having kept the errors down and is a definite threat, while it will be interesting to see how Ambassador fares switched to fences.
