Arecibo²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 9-11| J: J P Spencer| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 110| D

33/1

Has been transformed from frustrating handicapper to Group-1 placed (2nd in King's Stand) in 2021 for new connections. Also not disgraced when fourth to Suesa at Goodwood last time. No forlorn hope.

Dakota Gold¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 9-11| J: Connor Beasley| T: M Dods| OR: 108| BF| CD

40/1

Smashing sprinter who had a cracking 2020, winning Group 3/3 listed events. Made encouraging return with C&D fifth but unsuited by track when second in Chester listed event since. Lively outsider.

Form: 3111-52

(9)

Emaraaty Ana²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-11| J: Andrea Atzeni| T: K A Ryan| OR: 107| C| D

40/1

Won Gimcrack Stakes here in 2018 and plenty of smart efforts to his name this term, back to winning ways in Hamilton conditions event last month. A big step forward is required in this higher grade.

Form: 233701

(12)

Moss Gill^p⁴¹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-11| J: P J McDonald| T: E Bethell| OR: 108| CD

28/1

Smart gelding and dual C&D scorer who arrives on back of another good effort here when length second to Winter Power in listed race over C&D last month. A fair bit more needed in this grade, however.

Form: 64-2022

(4)

Bedford Flyer^p²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Lewis Edmunds| T: J L Eyre| OR: 100| CD

50/1

Has made into a useful sprinter in 2021, making all in C&D handicap in May and excellent second at Ascot last month when collared only final strides. This is a different ball game, however.

Form: 1-42102

(2)

Dragon Symbol²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Oisin Murphy| T: A Watson| OR: 116| D

4/1

Won first 4 starts and runner-up on his last four, in July Cup at Newmarket and King George Stakes at Goodwood (3l behind Suesa) on last two. Very smart, and he holds good place claims again.

Form: 112D22

(1)

Golden Pal^t1³⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: L Dettori| T: Wesley Ward| OR: 116| D

5/2

US colt who gave fine display of strong-travelling front-running when landing Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint last November. Returned with ready Grade 3 Saratoga win last month and a player here.

Form: 2211-1

(8)

Ubettabelieveit²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Rowan Scott| T: N Tinkler| OR: 104| D

200/1

Landed Group 2 Flying Childers at Doncaster in excellent 2-y-o campaign. Well beaten in three runs this term, though, most recently last of 13 in King George Stakes at Goodwood. Has plenty to prove.

Form: 913-800

(3)

Chil Chil⁴¹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-8| J: R L Moore| T: A M Balding| OR: 110

22/1

Has continued her improvement this term, winning 6f Newmarket handicap and Group 3 Chipchase before running creditably behind Starman in the July Cup. Huge effort needed in this company now, though.

Form: 34-2119

(5)

Liberty Beach²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: Jason Hart| T: J & S Quinn| OR: 107| D

40/1

Smart filly who bagged Haydock's Temple Stakes before good sixth in King's Stand at Royal Ascot. Raced too freely when tenth in Goodwood's King George Stakes but this likeable sort can bounce back.

Form: 473-160

(11)

Que Amoro^p²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-8| J: P Mulrennan| T: M Dods| OR: 105| CD

50/1

Took form to a new level in 2020 (second to Battaash in this event) but yet to hit top form this term, usual headgear back on when modest third in Hamilton conditions event last time. Hard to fancy.

Form: 320-093

(14)

Suesa²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: W Buick| T: Francois Rohaut| OR: 119| BF| D

9/4

French filly who easily made it 5-6 in King George Stakes at Goodwood. Earlier unbeaten in 4 Chantilly runs and saw too much daylight when Commonwealth Cup eighth. Has good turn of foot. One to beat.

Form: 11-1181

(6)

Winter Power^t⁴¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: S De Sousa| T: T D Easterby| OR: 114| CD

9/1

Got right back on track (over did things on the front end in King's Stand) when bagging second listed event over C&D last month. Another bold showing is not ruled out from this speedy filly.

Form: 011-191

(10)

Chipotle^p1²³

Age: 2| Weight: 8-1| J: Hollie Doyle| T: Eve Johnson Houghton| OR: 103| D

18/1

Windsor Castle winner at Royal Ascot. Met trouble in Super Sprint at Newbury and only sixth on good to soft ground in Goodwood's Molecomb Stakes last time. Remains with potential but has lots to find.

Forecasts

Suesa (9/4), Golden Pal (5/2), Dragon Symbol (4/1), Winter Power (9/1), Chipotle (18/1), Chil Chil (22/1), Rohaan (25/1), Moss Gill (28/1), Arecibo (33/1), Emaraaty Ana (40/1), Liberty Beach (40/1), Dakota Gold (40/1), Bedford Flyer (50/1), Que Amoro (50/1), Ubettabelieveit (200/1)

SUESA looked something special when swooping late to land Goodwood's King George Stakes by three lengths and she will take some stopping with the race likely to be teed up for her again. Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint winner Golden Pal, who rates the biggest form threat, and fellow front-runner Winter Power, who goes really well here, appeal as the two to chase home the flying French filly.
