15/2

Foaled May 5. £7,000 yearling, Belardo gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including smart 7f winner Iptisam and 1¼m winner Counterfeiter. Dam, 1m-1¼m winner. One to note on debut for good yard.

Form:

(9)

Moonbi¹⁸

25/1

Once-raced gelding. 18/1, showed a bit when sixth of 10 in minor event at Beverley (7.4f, good) on debut 18 days ago. This should reveal more but others make more appeal.

Form: 6

12/1

Once-raced colt. 40/1, tenth of 17 in maiden at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) on debut 48 days ago, missing break. Likely type for nurseries further down the line.

Form: 0

(2)

Taj Alola

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: C Lee| T: K R Burke

9/2

Foaled February 13. £10,000 2-y-o, El Kabeir colt. Half-brother to winner abroad by Fulbright. Dam unraced. Yard adept at readying a newcomer so well worth a check in betting ahead of debut for clues.

Form:

(3)

Timbukone⁴⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: K Dalgleish

13/2

Once-raced colt. Seventh of 8 in minor event (14/1) at Ayr (6f, good to firm) on debut 49 days ago, shaping as if in need of the experience. May well come on for that run.

Form: 7

Forecasts

Taj Alola (9/2), Better Half (5/1), Coligone Kate (11/2), Clifford (11/2), Timbukone (13/2), Roystan Girl (13/2), Honest Lawyer (15/2), Revoquable (12/1), Moonbi (25/1)

Those with previous form don't set a tall standard and it may pay to side with newcomer BETTER HALF. She makes plenty of appeal for a yard that excels with their juveniles and it would come as no surprise to see a bold showing. Roystan Girl boasts plenty of experience and can feature. Coligone Kate and Clifford complete the shortlist.
