Smart dual-purpose performer who won this lst summer and should strip fitter for his return in a Chester handicap. Obviously can't be discounted, although this looks a stronger renewal.
Smart front runner who signed off with a hat-trick last term and not disgraced when fourth behind Stradivarius in Sagaro Stakes at this course 52 days ago. Will face plenty of competition for lead.
Hit the frame in last year's Irish St Leger and looked in top form when a staying on third in a Curragh handicap last time. Promises to be suited by this sort of test, so warrants plenty of respect.
Consistent handicapper last term but bit below best so far this term and likely to be outclassed by a few of these rivals.
Ended long losing run in 2m handicap at Kempton in March. At least respectable efforts since but he's well exposed and not really up to this level.
Smart performer who was well on top at the finish when bagging the Chester Cup by 2 lengths on his return. This race should play out nicely for him, so he's the one to beat.
Useful sort who was going the right way in Meydan earlier this year but doesn't look likely to relish this longer trip. Others preferred.
Followed a winning return at Gowran with an underwhelming fifth in Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan 55 days ago. Likely to stay this far and has a chance on his best form.
Ascot Stakes winner in 2019 and runner-up in this last year. Respectable efforts both outings this year but looks vulnerable to more talented rivals.
Has returned to form of late but he's no more than a handicapper and hasn't won since 2016.
Off the mark when landing gamble impressively in Chester Cup consolation on return. Undone by a rise at Haydock next time and this is asking too much.
Fair on the Flat in Germany but just modest over hurdles for current yard, so almost impossible to make a case for in this company.
Likeable handicapper who was runner-up at Salisbury last time. Out of her depth in this company, however.
Fairly useful stayer who is fit from a creditable hurdling run. Visor and tongue tie on first time. Stiff task.

FALCON EIGHT looked better than ever when readily landing the Chester Cup on his reappearance and, with a strong pace on the cards, there's a good chance he can follow up. Barbados should be suited by the extreme test and Stratum is a big player if he can recapture his best form.
