Proved at least as good as ever and gained just reward for a string of consistent efforts this year when scoring at Hamilton last month but went off to hard in his follow up bid there 12 days later.
Proved better than ever and got off the mark in emphatic style when winning 14-runner handicap at Newcastle (10.2f) 17 days ago, leading over 1f out and forging clear. Needs to back that up on turf.
Fairly useful ex-Irish 1m winner for Dermot Weld. Shaped better than the bare result (went off too hard) on first outing for new yard here last month so merits consideration down in trip.
Scored twice on the all-weather earlier this year but found his run of good form coming to a halt when only ninth at Lingfield last time. Needs to bounce back to feature.
Sixteen runs since his last win in 2020. Again ran creditably when fourth at Redcar (10f, good to firm) 11 days ago but others more persuasive for win purposes.
Failed to get on the scoresheet last term but ran creditably after 6 months off when third at Redcar 11 days ago, doing well given where he was positioned. Claims from same mark.
Thrice-raced maiden. Third of 5 in minor event (14/1) at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 48 days ago, not knocked about. Back up in trip for this handicap debut and improvement may be forthcoming.
Offered little for Roger Fell last year and similar story on yard debut/return when ninth of 14 in handicap (66/1) at Carlisle (7.8f, heavy) 25 days ago. Tongue tie goes on and back up in trip.
Beverley scorer in April and has backed that up with a couple of creditable runner-up efforts, caught close home at Hamilton 8 days ago. Expected to go well again in present groove.
Being kept busy in 2021, and followed Newcastle 1m2f victory with fair third of 7 in handicap at Windsor. Below form upped in grade at Newmarket last time so can get back on track here.
Fair maiden on Flat for Mrs J. Harrington but below-form both starts over hurdles at Southwell last month. Makes handicap debut and interesting to see what the market makes of him.
Fairly useful, 3 time winner on AW for Mark Johnston who wasn't at his best towards the end of last season. Probably needed the run on return/yard debut here last month so should strip fitter today.

Forecasts
Regal Mirage (4/1), Sandret (4/1), Civil Law (9/2), Emiyn (5/1), Home Before Dusk (9/1), Howzer Black (12/1), Desert Emperor (12/1), Sucellus (12/1), Starfighter (16/1), Headland (20/1), Hotspur Harry (25/1), Bavardages (40/1), Yulong Magicreef (125/1)
Quite a few in with chances here but it could pay to side with Ben Haslam's SANDRET, who did well to finish third given where he was positioned at Redcar 11 days ago and can snap his long losing run from this career-low mark. Regal Mirage is in fine heart at present so rates as the main threat, ahead of Civil Law and Emiyn.
- SANDRET (IRE)
- REGAL MIRAGE (IRE)
- CIVIL LAW (IRE)
