Three-time winner who showed he retains his ability when fourth on return at Thirsk (12f) in April. Hasn't always looked straightforward though, running below par at Hamilton since. Visor reached for.

Progressive last term, winning 4 times and back on the up to land Doncaster handicap (10.2f) in April. Creditable fourth having been left with too much to do at Redcar since and player once more.

Multiple winner in Italy who ran up to best for this yard when ½-length second behind Highwaygrey at Doncaster in April. Not disgraced at Windsor since and interesting blinkers are now reached for.

Winning start for this yard on AW at Newcastle in April. Hard to knock his consistency since, shade better than the bare result when third in Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar last month. Claims once again.

Verdict

CHICHESTER has made a solid start for Keith Dalgleish, winning at Newcastle in April and running right up to his best in the Zetland Gold Cup last month. His mark remains workable and he's fancied to put up another bold showing under Franny Norton. Highwaygrey, just behind the selection at Redcar, can go well again, as can Pivoine, who ran well at York last time.

  1. CHICHESTER
  2. HIGHWAYGREY
  3. PIVOINE (IRE)
