325,000 gns yearling by Galileo. Weak in betting but showed plenty of ability to hit the frame at Wolverhampton on debut in December. Surely has more to offer as a 3-y-o.

Forecasts

Tiger Beetle (10/11), Alkhattaaf (3/1), Free Wind (10/3), Dolphin (25/1), Halcyon Spirit (25/1), Big Bard (28/1), Touchet Beret (33/1), Mirrie Dancers (40/1)

Verdict

TIGER BEETLE took another big step forward when third in a decent novice at Nottingham and sets a high standard. Free Wind showed plenty to work on when fourth at Wolverhampton in December so must be respected, while newcomer Alkhattaaf is one to note given his yard's excellent record with 3-y-os first-time out.

  1. TIGER BEETLE
  2. FREE WIND (IRE)
  3. ALKHATTAAF
