Looked potentially smart in making a winning debut in impressive fashion on July Course last summer. Came up short in listed company at Newmarket on return but remains with scope for better.

Has a mixed pedigree but belied odds of 20/1 to make a winning start in a C&D maiden, forging home to see off a useful sort. One to consider with more to come.

Lope De Vega filly who shaped with promise when fifth behind Gloria Mundi in C&D maiden last month. Would need to step up markedly to compete in this better grade, though.

Caught the eye at Kempton on debut, then went one better in novice at Chelmsford. Very much the type to progress over middle-distances this term, so warrants respect.

Boats an appealing Shadwell pedigree and had a bit in hand when making a successful debut at Nottingham 6 months ago. Can't be dismissed for all others have achieved a bit more.

Galileo filly who is related to three winners and overcame an unpromising position to make a winning start over C&D in April. Plenty more to come, so she's worth her place in this company.

Mastercraftsman filly who made a ready winning debut in the mud over C&D 6 months ago and looks open to improvement up in trip. Stable's runners have tended to need their reappearance, though.

Well bred, in excellent hands, and looked a quality prospect when landing a maiden at Newcastle despite a slow start 6 months ago. Exciting prospect who will relish the longer trip.

Fastnet Rock filly who did well to make a winning start having been left with plenty to do on debut at Nottingham 6 months ago. Form looks strong and the longer trip looks sure to suit.

Forecasts

Sea Empress (7/4), Twisted Reality (4/1), Companionship (6/1), Aristia (9/1), One Journey (9/1), A'Shaari (9/1), Gloria Mundi (16/1), Eshaada (18/1), At A Pinch (25/1)

Verdict

SEA EMPRESS has all the credentials to make a top-notch filly and her debut at Newcastle could hardly have been more impressive, so she gets the tentative vote in a listed event that's full of potential and could prove to be very strong form indeed. Twisted Reality and Aristia, also impressive winners first time out, look the chief dangers, though all could be given some sort of chance.

  1. SEA EMPRESS (IRE)
  2. TWISTED REALITY
  3. ARISTIA (IRE)
