Tricky customer who has had plenty of racing and ran as well as could be expected back on grass when fourth in a strong-looking handicap at Newbury (7f) 20 days ago. Tongue tie on for the 1st time.
Won first 3 starts but his form appears to have plateaued and he ran just respectably considering he was better placed than most at Newmarket 3 weeks ago.
Didn't need to improve to open his account in a 10-runner novice event at Catterick (7f, good) 15 days ago, kept up to work. Into handicaps now and should continue to run well.
Two wins from 4 runs last year, including a 5f nursery at this venue. Perhaps needed the run when down the field at Thirsk on return but has stamina to prove upped significantly in trip here.
Stepped up on his 2 efforts in November when making a successful return in a 7f Chelmsford maiden in April. Further progress when second in the Esher Cup at Sandown since and can go well again.
Suited by a strong pace when making successful nursery debut at Ripon in September, but has underperformed twice since, including on the back of a gelding operation at Redcar last time.
Fairly useful performer who landed the odds in a 7f Kempton novice in January. Effective at 1m, but wasn't seen to best effect under more patient tactics in the Esher Cup at Sandown last time.

Buxted Too (9/4), Aquaman (5/2), My Swallow (4/1), Aleas (9/2), Yazaman (6/1), Melody Of Life (13/2), Bravado (8/1), Bakersboy (10/1), Master Zoffany (11/1), Riffaa Wonder (16/1)
ALEAS is not ideally drawn but he very much appeals as the type to go on again as a 3-y-o given his pedigree, so he receives the vote. Aquaman and Buxted Too are others who may still have more to offer, especially the former who was just kept up to his work to get off the mark at Catterick on his return.
