9/2

Grade 1 winning hurdler who ran to a similar level over fences in 2019/20. Well held completed start in 2021 and it's hard to know where we stand with him at present. This is a drop in class.

Progressive sort, completing 4-timer in 2019. Pulled up sharply after a mistake 2 out at Stratford in July 2020 and off since.

13/2

Won a brace of 2m handicaps in 2019/20 and back to that level in first-time cheekpieces at Plumpton a month ago. Isn't really crying out for this step back up in trip.

Form: 41/6582-

Diese Des Bieffes¹⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-3| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 130| D

7/1

Useful novice hurdler for Nicky Henderson in 2017/18, winning 3 times. Held when carried out on chase/yard debut at Wincanton in December and needed to see more in 3 starts since. Back in trip.

Form: 51/P387-

Onemorefortheroad⁴⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: N B King| OR: 127

3/1

Improving hurdler who posted 11-length win in 2m handicap at Huntingdon before following up under a penalty at Doncaster (19.4f) 11 days later. Limit unlikely to have been reached.

Form: 3/13311-

Fontana Ellissi³⁷

8/1

Career-best effort when winning 6-runner novice hurdle at Ludlow (21.2f) 37 days ago, driven out. Makes handicap hurdle debut from a stiff-enough mark on the face of it, but he can do better.

Form: 3321-

Fairly useful form when winning over fences here during the summer. Didn't do a lot wrong when runner-up ay Huntingdon 3 weeks ago and has same mark back over timber.

Forecasts

Onemorefortheroad (3/1), Ey Up Rocky (4/1), Havana Hermano (9/2), Reserve Tank (9/2), Sebastopol (13/2), Diese Des Bieffes (7/1), Vive Le Roi (8/1), Fontana Ellissi (8/1), Some Day Soon (20/1)

ONEMOREFORTHEROAD is progressing fast and can complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Vive Le Roi, who is more exposed but lurks on a tempting mark, nonetheless.
