5/1

Latest win at Lingfield in January. Ninth of 11 in handicap (18/1) at Newmarket (5f, good to firm) 14 days ago, having hopeless task from position. Now tried in cheekpieces and he's one to consider.

Spurofthemoment^t³¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: William Carson| T: C Hills| OR: 76| D

9/2

11/4, career best when winning 8-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 31 days ago by 2¼ lengths from Shamshon, unchallenged. This 7 lb higher mark will ask a serious question of her back on turf.

Form: 7541-31

Boom The Groom⁶

Age: 10| Weight: 9-5| J: Cameron Noble⁽³⁾| T: A W Carroll| OR: 74| D

11/1

Latest win at Lingfield in December. Creditable second of 7 in handicap (10/1) at Lingfield (5f, AW) 6 days ago. Clearly in good heart and should be on the premises once more.

Form: 44716-2

Zulu Zander¹⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-5| J: Harry Burns⁽⁷⁾| T: P D Evans| OR: 74| CD

9/4

Won 7-runner handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 10/3) 10 days ago by length from Shamshon, driven out. 4 lb rise fair enough and couldn't rule out.

Form: 124041

Capla Spirit^v⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-2| J: Callum Hutchinson⁽⁷⁾| T: Miss Gay Kelleway| OR: 71| D

10/1

Latest win at Lingfield in January. Fifth of 7 in handicap (5/2) at Lingfield (5f, AW) 6 days ago. 0-6 on turf and he'll probably find a few too good.

Form: 143625

Shamshon¹⁰

11/4

Forecasts

Zulu Zander (9/4), Shamshon (11/4), Spurofthemoment (9/2), Invincible Larne (5/1), Boundless Power (13/2), Capla Spirit (10/1), Boom The Groom (11/1)

It's best to draw a line through INVINCIBLE LARNE's latest effort at Newmarket where he missed the break. The 5-y-o is 2 lb lower than for his all-weather success in January and could be the answer in first-time cheekpieces. Shamshon may well reverse placings with recent conquerors Spurofthemoment and Zulu Zander on these revised terms, but a bigger threat may be posed by Boundless Power.
