Dual scorer at Chepstow and Taunton in October who recorded another excellent effort after 4 months off when third back at Taunton (26.3f, good to firm) 30 days ago. Merits serious consideration.
Made it 2-4 in July with 3m Soouthwell hurdle victory but pulled up in handicap hurdle at Fontwell (25.8f, soft) in August. Goes well fresh and this chase winner is not ruled out back in this sphere.
Irresolute performer who is now twelve runs since a win in 2019. Only sixth of 9 in handicap chase at Taunton (26.3f, good to firm) 30 days ago. Visor on now with work to do.
Scored at Bangor in September but below par all four runs since, fourth of 5 in handicap chase at Kempton (24f, good) 33 days ago. Cheekpieces back on.
Remains a maiden after 16 runs, and pulled up in handicap chase at Newbury (22.4f, good to soft) 27 days ago. Blinkered for 1st time. Others much preferred.
Temperamental sort, though he posted one of his better efforts when third of 8 in handicap chase at Newcastle (23.4f, good) 12 days ago. Easy to look elsewhere.
Fair winning chaser in early 2019 but only twice raced since and well below par, pulled up at Cheltenham (25f, soft) in October. Hard to warm to.
Without a win since 2017, and arrives below form, making mistakes when fifth of 10 in 3m handicap at Doncaster in December. Others more persuasive.
On a long losing run, and yet to fire in three runs for his new yard, fifth of 7 in handicap chase at Plumpton (17f, good) 17 days ago. Back up in trip with lots of work to do.
C&D winner who got back on track in a change of headgear when second of 8 in 3m5f handicap chase here (good) 11 days ago. Reluctant individual but not ruled out if on another going day.

Forecasts
From The Heart (10/3), High Counsel (7/2), Well Smitten (5/1), Sandy Boy (11/2), Thomas Shelby (15/2), Broadclyst (12/1), Black Anthem (14/1), Raven's Tower (16/1), Ballyegan Hero (28/1), Osca Loca (33/1)
Lots of these have question marks against them, but FROM THE HEART is a notable exception and Philip Hobbs's 7-y-o is fancied to record win number three for the season on the back of his excellent Taunton third after a break. Black Anthem returns from a 7-month absence but has won off a break so rates the chief threat, with High Counsel capable of having a say if in the mood.
- FROM THE HEART (IRE)
- BLACK ANTHEM (IRE)
- HIGH COUNSEL (IRE)
