Scored over 2m at Carlisle in October and hinted at a revival when fourth of 6 in 2m handicap at Wetherby (good) 18 days ago. Not ruled out off a reduced mark.

Generally disappointing since landing a 2m Newcastle handicap chase in 2018, beating only one on back of a wind op at Wetherby 18 days ago. Has serious questions to answer.

Made winning chase debut at Wetherby (2m) in March but unseated rider fourth in Sedgefield handicap 10 days ago. Not dismissed if none the worse for that mishap.

Fair form when 2nd in 2m Lingfield chase for Nigel Twiston-Davies, but disappointing since, tried in cheekpieces back with former yard when seventh at Sedgefield 10 days ago. Blinkers tried now.

Winning pointer who completed for first time in 3 starts over fences when fifth in 2m4f handicap chase at Carlisle in February, though he again finished weakly. This drop to 2m could suit. Claims.

Fairly useful chaser at his best but below par over hurdles this term. Goes back over fences now with plenty to prove.

C&D winner before dead-heating over 2m4f here later in October. His form has nosedived since however, last of 8 at Kelso 44 days ago. Others more persuasive.

Point winner who got back on track switched to chasing in first-time tongue strap when fourth of 12 in 2m handicap at Sedgefield (good) 10 days ago. Sure to go well again off 2 lb lower mark.

Long-standing maiden who has also offered little all three runs over fences this spring. Cheekpieces on now. Others are far more convincing.

C&D winner who had looked to be coming to the boil until below-par fifth of 8 in handicap here in December. Veteran has bit to prove now after a break.

Unreliable type who is also without a win since 2017. Well held after six months off in 2m handicap at Newcastle 20 days ago and it's easy to look elsewhere.

Forecasts

First Revolution (4/1), Mill Race King (9/2), Follow Your Fire (13/2), The Silver Prince (13/2), Las Tunas (17/2), Roll Of Thunder (9/1), Treshnish (12/1), Graystown (12/1), Clondaw Storm (16/1), Zen Master (16/1), Espion De Saflo (16/1), Challow (25/1), Indian Voyage (80/1)

Verdict

Winning-pointer FIRST REVOLUTION made an encouraging start in this sphere when fourth at Sedgefield and is taken to build on that at the chief expense of Mill Race King, who could pose a major threat if seeing his race out fully now dropped again in distance. Las Tunas is another who can make his presence felt off a reduced mark with Brian Hughes in the saddle.
