Consistent sort who scored cosily on return at Ayr (20.5f). Good second at Kelso (23.5f) last time. This dual course winner ought to go well again.

Fairly useful winning chaser who was placed all 3 runs in handicaps last term and bounced back to form when second at Wetherby (21f) last month. Remains well treated on old form. Shortlisted.

Signed off for last season with a Wetherby win. Started the current campaign in similarly good form and he's the type to bounce back from a rare poor run last time.

C&D second in November shows he's more than capable off this mark but he's refused to race either side of it so isn't one that can be relied upon.

Course winner off this mark last term. This season has yet to get going but he's had wind surgery (also tongue tied first time) since finishing behind Bollin Ace and Cybalko at Wetherby last month.

Ended long losing run in good style at Hexham in October and backed that when second over C&D the following month. Shaped as if still in for over a 3m trip which probably stretches him last time.

Gained breakthrough win in fine style in handicap over C&D last month. Excuses (lost a shoe and struck into) when only fifth back here since and likely still in form.

More miss than hit since his C&D success in November but he is now 4 lb below that winning mark and his yard had a winner the other day. Tongue tied first time. No shock if he goes well.

Forecasts

Central Flame (9/2), Darius Des Sources (13/2), Up Helly Aa King (15/2), Do Not Disturb (8/1), Scottish Accent (8/1), Destin D'Ajonc (17/2), Bollin Ace (9/1), Cybalko (9/1), Well Above Par (14/1), Ard Chros (14/1), Manetti (14/1), King's Wharf (28/1), Mortens Leam (28/1), Craiganboy (66/1)

Verdict

CYBALKO was stretched by 21f on heavy ground at Wetherby last time so could still be on a favourable mark and is taken to add this nice prize to his already impressive haul this season. Bollin Ace was in front of the selection at Wetherby and will be a threat if able to build on that, while Up Helly Aa King has a good record here and is also much respected despite clear top weight.

  1. CYBALKO (FR)
  2. BOLLIN ACE
  3. UP HELLY AA KING
