Successful on the Flat and over hurdles for Gordon Elliott, and has made the frame in handicap hurdles at Taunton and Newbury for new yard this season. Must cast aside a heavy defeat at Warwick.

Useful chaser for Paul Nicholls in 2018. Had fair share of success in pointing field for Tom Malone (third in December) but showed nothing over hurdles for new yard 12 days ago.

Posted a fairly useful effort when close second in 2m Fakenham handicap in January 2020. Failed to fire back in a novice 6 months later and has left Oliver Sherwood.

Smart handicapper at best and confirmed he retains some ability with a brace of placed efforts this season. Has underlined why he's such a frustrating sort in between, though.

Point winner who mere hinted at ability over hurdles for Evan Williams in 2018/19. Off the track a long time but joined another good yard and the betting will be revealing.

Fair 14f winner on Flat who has shown similar form over hurdles for new yard, third of 11 in handicap at Warwick (16f, heavy) in January. Has to be of interest.

Some decent efforts to his name when in the care of Alan King, but this irresolute performer has offered little in 3 starts since joining this yard.

Left previous hurdling exploits in his wake when landing 2m Warwick handicap in 2019. Disappointing on Flat later that year and beaten before stamina for 19.7f was an issue on return in November.

Forecasts

Amarillo Sky (5/2), Paxman (5/1), Steady Away (7/1), Kuraka (15/2), Perfect Predator (8/1), John Constable (10/1), Group Stage (12/1), Pasley (12/1), Makety (16/1), Carnage (50/1), The Last But One (80/1), Goaheadwiththeplan (80/1)

Verdict

Having dropped a long way in the weights, PASLEY arrested the slide when third at Warwick in January and he could be the answer in a trappy race. John Constable really ought to be a factor at this level, while Paxman cost six figures early in his career and has transferred to a yard adept with new recruits.
