Shamardal filly who shaped with plenty of promise when second of 12 in minor event at Kempton (8f) on debut 16 days ago, just much too green to threaten the easy winner on the day. Sure to progress.

Plenty of promise when third of 12 in minor event at Kempton (6f, 7/1) on debut, missing break. Off 162 days. Entitled to sharpen up for the run and this step up in trip should suit.

Forecasts

Colour Of Light (10/11), Regent (11/8), Aura Blue (10/1), Lexington Liberty (10/1), Thunder Lily (33/1), Cheshire Plain (80/1), Marsden Cross (100/1), Alchemystique (150/1), Moonlet (200/1)

Verdict

John Gosden's REGENT got the hang of things as the contest wore on at Kempton just over a fortnight ago, doing her best work late having lost all chance of making a winning debut at the start. With significant improvement on the cards, she's taken to score second-time up. Colour of Light heads up the dangers having also been held back by greenness on debut, ahead of Lexington Liberty.
